Re: Phone Mounts

Then definitely check out the iOttie. It is not your average suction cup. It is a SUPER suction cup. It is a complete PITA to remove but somehow does not leave marks or residue. :D

Re: Phone Mounts

This is a bit late but the iOttie Easy Flex mounts have been amazing for me and everyone I have bought them for. The current generation is the Easy Flex 3 (I have the second gen). They are cheap but very nice quality and hold a wide range of phones without issue. They even hold onto the highly textu...

I second, third, whatever, the notion of a set calender. Suggestions, If not a physical calender, open a section named "Calender" (or rename the "Announcements" section) and lock it so that only time, date, location information can be posted by a moderator (possibly designate som...

Re: Pure Gas Stations

Funny that this has showed up. We just had a HyVee gas station go in on 23rd street in Lawrence which I recently figured out has the pure gasoline. I had been running cheaper gas in my 06 MCS for a couple of years and then read about Top-Tier gasoline and switched to running QT exclusively in my car...

Well club I am hoping we can get a fair sized group of MINIs, I have an interested camera that would like to broaden her portfolio. She has shot cars before and grown up around them. The more people the better.

Re: Dual Action Polisher

Clubby Clutch, The Porter Cable and Griots Garage unit should be the same. Griots hand picked the Porter Cable unit because it is about the best in the industry. I have used it on Ferraris, yes Ferraris when autosport gallery was still open. I believe the Meguiars unit is also the same as Griots. Al...

Re: The Great Snowstorm of 2011

Dave, Im glad to hear that the '03 used to drop bad in the winter as i have noticed the same with my car. Now that all the suspension has been fixed and I fine tuned the alignment, I am now averaging 29+ mpg per tank  It is amazing what a good aligment will do for a car  Walnuts, I feel...

Re: HELP, Please -- multiple lamps on

the 02-06 cars use an indirect tire monitor system which counts tire revolutions versus the 07+ cars which uses an actual pressure sensor in all 4 tires.

Re: Sputter, sputter, sputter...

Dave- I completely agree with you at this point. If it is getting worse that quickly likely the pump is going out. One thing you can do to determine if the filter is getting clogged by something in the tank is to find a parking lot and weave the car left to right rather violently. If power improves,...

Re: Sputter, sputter, sputter...

Any word after the plugs were done? I have found through a little research, some boredom + some experimenting that these cars are rather sensitive to plug gap. simply changing the plugs (and making sure they are gapped right) can make a world of difference. I always suggest to gap on the tight side ...

Trailer?

This might be odd but hopefully in the right place. Does anyone have a small trailer I would borrow for a week to bring my larger stuff home from Pitt State? I have a number of friends with trailers but they are a little bigger than what I want to pull 200 miles with the MINI. Only have a mini fridg...
