Re: Vibrating clutch pedal
My Throwout bearing self destructed, punched a hole in the tranny, chewed up my output shaft seals, and I think George's only charged me about $2500 including welding up the hole in the tranny and a new clutch kit, seals, etc.

George's has done several major tasks on Luna and done wonderful work. I know they saved me some money and a lot of headache.

Re: Luna destroyed a super charger
Have a rebuilt Eaton done by AutoXCooper. I know Dustin. He does great work, and knows MINIs. They machine new parts as needed depending on bad your supercharger is blown. Outstanding quality! Through him I learned about Sprintex superchargers, and if I ever need another supercharger, I'm going Spr...

Re: Luna destroyed a super charger
Well, many $$$ later Luna is back home in the garage. Warning to those who may have installed the WMW Supercharger pulley, You might consider some preventative maintenance. My pulley came loose, and was likely spinning on the shaft for some time before it got bad enough to start throwing codes. Tore...

Re: Minis at the Market/Art of the Machine, Sunday Oct 19th,
Well, Luna is still in the shop, and life is busy, so we will not be able to make it tomorrow. We ordered shirts, so will have to make some arrangements. I'd paypal the postage if you can mail them, or if Mini Dave is attending and willing, I know where to find him. :) Sorry to miss this. Expecting ...

Re: Minis at the Market/Art of the Machine, Sunday Oct 19th,
Fingers crossed that Luna gets out of the shop tomorrow. She has been undergoing surgery for a failed Supercharger pulley which chewed up the output shaft of the SC. SC has been rebuilt, and George's is getting her reassembled, but no ETA yet. If we don't show Sunday AM you will know why.

Re: Luna destroyed a super charger
Upon Disassembly, they found that the Way Motors SC Pulley was loose, which was likely the source of the noises, but since it is all apart, they are sending the SC out for refurb anyhow. While everything is apart I'm also going to get the Water Pump, Thermostat, Harmonic balancer and CPS O-ring repl...

Luna destroyed a super charger
The wife was driving to work Tuesday and the MINI went into limp mode. She managed to get it back home. I pulled the code and it was a P1688, which most forums indicated was a separated Harmonic Balance pulley. I dug around and found a loose hose near the Bypass Control valve, so I was happy, figuri...

All Zaino Products, all the time. Except for compounding, then I go to Grio's...only because Zaino does not make compounding products.

Re: Wheel Botls [12mm x 1.5 x 36-40mm]
I am looking for 8 wheel bolts to be used for aftermarket wheels. These are longer than the stock wheel bolts and are also cone shaped. The wheel bolts I in need of also are used on aftermarket Bimmer wheels. FYI - stock mini wheel bolts are [12mm x 1.5 x 28 mm] Did you try your friends at KC Trend...

Re: November Shop Day - 16th
Bummed I couldn't make it. Under the weather coupled with lack of sleep because of said sickness caused me to spend the day in bed. Hoping I can make some get together soon, pretty sure my throwout bearing is on its way out or something. Clutch pedal is feeling a little more "crunchy" the...

Kudos to Brad and the guys at George's Import Service. I would not hesitate to recommend them for any kind of import repair service. Really seem to know their stuff and very professional and courteous. Great communication as well.

Apparently the guys at George's Import have the software to remap our cars. Not sure how adept they are at the black art, but we were talking about my Supercharger pulley swap and he mentioned they have the software to remap.
I was talking with Brad.
