Re: April 18-19, 2015 Southern MO Cruise In & MO/KS Route 66
You can add me to the list of people going. I posted it on Twisted Minis Facebook page and all that I could hear were the crickets chirping with no one else responding. See you next Saturday. Not sure about Twisted Minis FB page. That isn't our page. Twisted Minis of Kansas are Facebook friends wit...

Re: SAVE THE DATE: April 18-19, 2015 MO/KS Route 66
Just wondering if you plan on going from East to West or the other way around? If you plan on going to 4 Women on the Route in Galena, KS. where Mater is the last I heard they are only open on Saturdays. I will see if I can get some more people to go from Twisted Minis once you have more details.

Re: Classic Mini Fun Run - Part the Third! UPDATE March 20-2
Go ahead and put me down as a no show because I won't be able to do all of the work required to get the Pup up and running by then. I am still making a list of the things I want to do to it while I have the engine out and cleaning it up a bit. The other thing is I don't think its a good idea to leav...

Re: Classic Mini Engine Rebuild
Dave,
Now that you have that one taken apart do you have a picture of what the rod bearings looks like so I might have some idea of what I'm up against?
Do you think your shop day could handle an engine swap?

Thanks Dave, nothing like kicking a guy while he's down. I look at it as having an escort back to Don's place.
There must have been too much hooning around for the P'up.

Re: Grille badges and badge holders
I suppose you could use it for that. The package just says 3 inch round base magnet. I went and got another one for the minipup and I was wrong from what I said before. It has 95 pounds worth of pull.Minidave wrote:Sounds like a welding ground magnet!

Re: Grille badges and badge holders
I got my badge holder at Harbor Freight for $5.00. A little paint and a bolt that goes through the middle of it and I don't think that any badge will fall off. Its rated at 90 pounds worth of pull.

Re: Congrats dimini
Dave,
The chicken run to Olpe is April 16 if you were thinking something that soon. I might be going if you guys decide you want to try it. I have a better map that shows in more detail some of the roads in that area and some of them even have a few curves (for Kansas thats saying a lot).

I don't know if they are online or not but I tried to copy it out of my magazine so lets see if I can upload the pictures. This first picture must be how you carry a spare.

Re: MINI Takes the States 2010
What happens if someone just shows up at Baron while all of the other Minis are there? I mean someone that hasn't registered can they still register that day or is it necessary? I don't know if I can come yet and drive part way to Dodge City or if its too late to register for MTTS.

Re: MINI Takes the States 2010
Is anyone planning on setting up a meet and greet in KC for when the MINIs start coming in or is this something that you wait for Baron to plan? From what I've seen in the past MINI USA won't release much information on there stay in KC until about 2 or 3 weeks prior to the date.

Congrats to dimini for getting your P'up in MC2
I just got my issue of MC2 today and as I scanning the front cover to see what was inside I seen something about a custom VETC Pickup. Well the first article I had to read was that one on pages 46 and 47. Great article Don and maybe one of these days we can get both of our Pups together for a run ar...
