Left battery disconnected overnight and car ran properly today. Hope it just re-set something and continues to work.

Anyone have suggestions for me to check why the electric cooling fan will not turn off ever. It ran my battery dead this afternoon when my motor was off. Only way I could stop it was to disconnect the battery. '03 Justa Cooper.

Sorry for your loss Dave. I know exactly how you feel because we lost two of our three Corgis this summer. Left a big hole in my heart.

Also threw error code P0455 - evaporative system major leak. I think the beeps were coming from the electric fuel pump that is in the gas tank.

Had to replace my gas cap today. Check gas cap light came on the speedo and motor started running rough. Also got a beep beep beep ... from the gas tank. Advance Auto actually had a genuine BMW part in stock! All seems to be running fine again. Ready for another 220k miles!

What Minidave said. Check the battery was my first thought also.

Keith, I bought it from RockAuto but never installed it and sent it back. Not easy to install because you have to loosen motor mounts to get access.

I should go and visit my California clients! Makes it a business trip! Lol

We will be in Independence this weekend too.

And I will be at a dog agility trial in Springfield, MO that weekend! So I will miss out.

Baron diagnosed an intermittent short in the wiring to the upstream O2 sensor. Hopefully it will be fixed for good now.

Lol, I agree, Minidave. Danger of damaging other electrical parts if I don't find the source of the short that is blowing the fuse!

Put in new fuse once again and now only code is P0031. Wonder if short is in wiring to O2 sensor that was replaced several months ago? We will see what Baron says next week.

A/C works great when fuse is not blown so I don't think that is the problem. I think there is an intermittent short circuit in the emissions wiring somewhere that is blowing the fuse. Maybe to the O2 sensors that were replaced a couple of months ago. Still trying to figure it out while I wait for my...

Well, I guess I am not as smart as I thought! Codes are back and the 15 amp fuse to the ECU keeps blowing again! Everything worked for a couple of weeks. I even drove to Salina, KS and back with no problem. Back to Baron, I suppose.
