Looks like they sold the Laguna Green MINI since yesterday!

Yup. Baron has a used 2012 Justa in Laguna Green (close to Silk Green) with automatic transmission with 40k miles for $15,000. A lot more than $1,500.

Cam sensor is $40 at online discount parts stores and could probably be replaced in the driveway. SES light is already back on for cam sensor fault. Hopefully, fuse is not blown again. Will check codes again tonight.

A/C is another issue altogether. $1,500 parts and labor at Baron.

Baron found a blown fuse in the under bonnet fuse box that cleared the O2 sensor codes but they think it still needs a new camshaft position sensor. They also think it will need a new a/c compressor. Thanks, MiniDave. Just replaced both O2 Sensors with OEM sensors a couple of months ago after going 200k+ miles on the original sensors.

Replacing camshaft position sensor requires removing engine mounting bolts to get to it according to Bentley manual.

My MINI is 11 years old with 206,000 miles on it. Does it qualify as a classic?

Yes, Keith, not many silk green MINIs around. Another one just moved into Kearney, MO a couple of months ago. Ran into them at Wendy's.

I've never seen an orange one of those either......not saying they don't make 'em, just that I've never seen one in more than 45 years of working on cars - maybe an aftermarket part from one of the specialty exhaust makers? I have orange/red rubber exhaust hangers on my Justa (not aftermarket). :D

My Justa has quit a few dents. However, I'm not sure I would pay to have them fixed now that I have 204k miles on it!

I went over 200k miles at 70 mph last Friday on my way to Minneapolis and back in one day, 15 hours of driving! Anyone else over 200k miles on their beloved MINI?

If it was me, I would take it to the dealer or your favorite mechanic who knows MINI's. Other club members more mechnically inclined might help you with a DIY. See my edit about relays in my previuos post.

Might be a bad central locking system relay (a relay is like a super-duper fuse I think) located behind the side kick panel in front of the passenger seat. Bentley manual says that all your combined locking problems can be caused by this.

Front wheel bearing hubs replaced today. No more loud humming sound at speed from the driver's side front wheel. After inspection of old bearings, one was very loose and one was very tight. Not sure which was the culprit but glad to have them both replaced.

I like C but with gray tires. I suppose we MINI/Mini owners like to customize so much that it is hard to please everyone!

One last question, "How dangerous is it to drive with a bad wheel bearing?"
