Some advice needed from those of you who have been to MITM before. What sort of items should we make sure we don't forget to pack? I assume it gets cool at night so jackets are suggested. Is there a need for chairs or a blanket? How about a small cooler? I suppose detailing accessories if you want ...

Sweet. I am glad to see such a good turn-out from the KC folks. I know of one MINI from Louisville that will be making the trip! This is going to be great.

That flyer is awesome! I think it'd be pretty cool if you used pictures of peoples Mini's on the flyer. If you want a picture of a classic let me know I'll try to get you a good one of mine. I saw this one coming once I read the first reply.....but of course LOL I never miss a moment to show ...

How warm? Minis run on the warm side. Most don't run very well until they get all nice and toasty. I like mine to run HOT!!!

With a little help from MINIdave, I installed OutMotoring black gauge faceplates. If there's interest, I could shoot a snapshot and post it. I think its a risky mod, though, maybe on par with the joeymod headlight deconstruction... I identified three areas of potential novice DIY harm. 1) Break the...

I painted the calipers on both my Mini and my Saab. The Mini calipers are still super shiny, but the Saab calipers have begun to peel and look pretty crappy. I think I may have accidentally sprayed some wheel cleaner on the calipers which penetrated the paint. Be very careful when you clean your whe...

Re: K C Auto Show

Do you think it could be as popular as the MINI? I seriously doubt it. It only has a 3 cylinder engine which doesn't produce the type of performance found in a MINI. Correct me if I am wrong, but I think the MINI gets better gas mileage. I NEVER saw a SMART car on the autobahn during my 3 years of ...

So, if you folks love gyros, you might consider a doner kabob. I haven't seen any in KC, but in short, it's a Turkish "variant" of the gyro. I find them in NYC, throughout Germany, and of course, in Turkey. While in Istanbul 10 years ago, I lived on donors and Turkish coffee (a high -caff...

Do to the stress of combat over here, I have trouble going to sleep. My wife sent me some Melatonin and it works great. You can pick it up at GNC. Good luck.
