Re: First Fridays (Crossroads District) December 2nd

Artemis is doing good. Put gas in him today. :) I think if you got out to First Fridays early enough you could find somewhere to park but I'm not too sure on where there are parking spaces other than the street. Been to first fridays lots of times. I usually park in a garage. I think if we did a so...

First Fridays (Crossroads District) December 2nd

I think it would be cool if we had a Mini gathering down at the Crossroads December 2nd for First Fridays. Would be cool to get a bunch of you all down there (sort of a Critical Mass thing). Would be fun. Just a thought. What do you all think?

Re: Youngest Member?

UltraQuik and Counterfit_mini, we should all get together in Lawrence and do a little car show. I bet we could find a parking lot that would allow us to have a Mini show. Maybe KU campus has a vacant lot we could use one weekend. Someone should contact em and check. I bet the School of Engineering c...

Re: Youngest Member?

Well I'm 28 so as far as twenties go I am probably the oldest 20 something unless someone on here is 29. So far the only people around my age I know with Mini Coopers is KSminiman. Anyone else on here? Also who else on here is in Lawrence? Would be cool to have a little Lawrence Mini Meet sometime. ...

I live in Lawrence, I may be interested if I can get my buddy with the other mini to go. I might navigate for him or vice versa.

I need to log some more driving time as this is my first car with a stick shift. I can barely afford autocrossing let alone track days lol. If I can make it out there you can be sure me and "Oliver" will.

Re: Mini Cooper Name

Definately Oliver!!!! If you haven't seen it, you have to watch the episode of top gear where they are in Africa on a car challenge and Hammond names his car Oliver. Actually that's where I got the idea for the name Oliver. Ok, I'll see if he likes it this afternoon heading to class. I will call hi...

Mini Cooper Name

Trying to name my car and the two names I thought of were either Monty or Oliver. My Aunt is dating a pro golfer from England named Monty so I figured it would be a good name since it is English sounding. Any thoughts or suggestions. I provided a picture to help.

Re: New to the KC Mini Forum

Good names for cars. I feel Yoshi fits Tom's car perfectly. I still can't get one for mine lol. It didn't like Brake Check. I did that for grins and it wouldn't let me out of 4th gear, lol. My dad was singing a song about Ebony and Ivory, Don't ask, lol. I thought maybe Ivory. It didn't react to it.

Steering wheel emblem

Apparently the previous owner hit the horn too hard. He was an RAF Pilot as well (car has an RAF badge plus the dealer knew the people who owned it). Anyway, the badge is bent. Any easy way to fix it? I heard the only way to do it was replace the airbag.
