Re: 09 R56 not responding to fob in ignition... help!
Sounds like it might not be recognizing that you're pressing the brake (or the clutch if it's a manual) when you go to start it.

Re: Newbie in St Joe!
Another thing I am considering, is doing the suspension stuff first, then saving and buying wheels. Is changing the suspension on these cars really worth it for daily driving and having fun? Like, would adding the sway and low ring springs be worthwhile? MINI's handle really well without having to ...

No. She's got cones. They got rid of the hydrolastic in the early 70's.

The most I put on mine in a year was 23,000. I like how they put in the ad that it has JUST 104.000 miles on it....

Re: need advice.
I've got 65,000 on my 09 Cooper S and I really haven't had any major problems. I change the oil about every 8.000 miles and I just recently replace the oil line to the turbo to a better one but other than that he treats me good.

Yeah, when you replace a oil line to the turbo that only takes 10 minutes to put on but 3 hours to get to you tend to understand this...Sspreso wrote:The more I work on my Mini, the more I understand this...Counterfit_Mini wrote:Although, it wouldn't be MINI if it was easy...

I've got a roof rack on my Mini (that I'd be willing to sell with two bike rack attachments.....) and I thought I was going to have a problem getting my bike on and off but it really wasn't that hard.

Surprisingly, despite the video evidence to the contrary, it did not "done blowed up".... We don't know exactly what happened, but apparently it burped a little oil out of the valve cover breather onto the headers, once it burned off all was good, in fact we did another 150 miles af...

Is there a MINI repair that doesn't involve breaking a few clips? LOL

Re: KC MINI Photoshoot 2013
If we pick somewhere more south (Olathe area) I can bring my classic. I would like to do it after I put in a new turn signal relay though. It's kinda scary driving without signals and no one pays attention to hand signals when they're coming from the wrong side of the car.

Oooo I'm jealous because I like anything Route 66 and it sounds like a fun run but I can't go. Too much time off work and I don't think my bum suspension would be much fun on twisties.

Door speaker
So...I kinda listened to my music too loud and blew one of my door speakers. I was wondering if anyone had ever messed with the speakers on an R56 before and how hard it would be to replace. Baron says a new speaker is $50 and then they would charge $100 to put it in....

LOL true true. Don't have a gallbladder either so that kinda rules out every non essential organ that usually gets removed.
