Re: R56 Turbo Oil Line Replacement

Is it worth going to the place in Olathe to use a lift? I'm thinking the shields would be easier with the car up in the air.

Re: o-ring replacement on high pressure fuel pump

Dave, you are always so helpful! I don't need to replace mine now but maybe sometime in the future.

I can't believe that part costs that much! If I could see the mouth to model it and had access to a 3D printer (cant use the ones at work), we could make one of those for about $15.

There are lots of canned tuning options that are flashed via the obd-ii port if you are interested.

Accessport
Manic
Battle/DNA

And others.

Out in the 505 for a year

Hello fellow MINIacs, Chris here (with the red/white R56). I was wondering if anyone knew of a MINI club in the Albuquerque, NM or Santa Fe area? I found a club online (New Mexico Mini Motoring) but they haven't been active in a year and not very active before that. I miss the MINI family in KC. BTW...

Re: Bluetooth OBDII Reader

I have been using a: BAFX Products - Bluetooth OBD2 scan tool - For check engine light & diagnostics - Android ONLY bought from Amazon for $14 (used to be more). Been using it for over a year now almost daily with good luck. I use the Torque App with Track Recorder. App is $5. Great investment. ...

Re: R56S EGT Concern

an update: I changed the plugs at the last garage day. Thanks Dave! for letting me use your tools for the job. Installed NGK ILZKBR7A-8G plugs, which is what came out of it. I had 50,400ish miles on the original plugs. Taking them out, cylinders (from the timing chain side) 1 and 4 were nearly bridg...

It seems my 2010 is leaking. I have noticed drops on the ground where I park. May need a few mins on the lift to check it out.

Probably do-able, but would go quicker with an impact and a good (my rental was horrible) spring compressor. Will consume a couple of people for the full time though. I just ordered spark p...
