Re: Heartland Park - April 11, 2012

Hope everyone had fun. Oliver needs some upholstery work so he is at Baron right now. Otherwise I would have come and at least watched.

Re: KC Job Photoshoots return...

Ok. The KC Job photoshoot will occur again. This time on the 21st of April. Meet in the morning in front of the Nelson Atkins Museum. I'm thinking 10am if that works. Our first photo op will be there. Sort of a flash mob of Mini's I hope.

Re: Toolbox

Sounds good. I was looking at those package deals at Sears with the tools and toolbox included but wasn't sure if that was the best route. I'll write all this down. Thanks.

Toolbox

Decided I need to keep a toolbox in my house for my house and my car. What tools do you recommend I get? I don't have any really serious ones right now, lol.

Re: What'd you do to your MINI today?

I've installed (Tom installed) the Alta CAI. It's awesome. That wasn't today but I felt like putting it in there. I ordered some Alta Steering bushings for the Mini. We're gonna install em when we do the pulley this summer.

Center console

Anyone with a first gen 2005-2006 Cooper S want the center armrest from mine? Would mean swapping center consoles since they are different. Warning, the top doesn't stay closed but supposedly can be fixed with velcro. I could give ya the armrest for $70 or best offer (I know a replacement top for on...

Re: KC Job Photoshoots return...

Sounds like a plan. Will be nice to see Oliver in new photos sporting all his new goodies. He has ASA AR1's now instead of the boat-anchors he was riding around on. Installed the Alta Intake. By me I mean Tom did. Was a pain in the ass but it sounds fantastic and looks very sleek under the bonnet. T...

KC MINI PHOTOSHOOT

I want to do the photoshoots again this year. It was a lot of fun when Stephanie, Tom, Clint, and I went out there with our Mini's to the West Bottoms. I want to get a few more cars together and do some more photo-shoots. Down in the West Bottoms again would be fun, up by Liberty Memorial, Union Sta...

My money is tight right now so I won't be able to participate in the track event. I'll come out and watch though that's for sure. Get a chance to meet everyone. Oliver is dying to mingle with other Mini's. So far he has just been around Artemis, LaDonna, and Yoshi.

Re: Heartland Park - April 11, 2012

There is now a NASA Central Region http://www.drivenasacentral.com/index.php that will run the tracks in the region. Hallet, MAM, HPT, Hastings, Gateway, Mid-Ohio are all on the event list for 2012. They do HPDEs at all the tracks they visit so also can go that route. I plan to move up through the ...

Tear in side bolster and stitching came out in seat back

I have some upholstery issues. There is a tear I want to get fixed in the side bolster and some stitching came loose in the seat back near the console. I was quoted through Baron $185 for the bolster and $95 for the stitching that came loose. Is there a cheaper way to do this? Or do you know of anyo...

You obviously didn't hear their police scanners. Sore winners. They destroy their town when they win. KU has better class. We just rip down all the signs on Kentucky street that say Kentucky.

Re: Which CAI should I buy??

Well after weighing the pros and cons and looking at what was good and not, I bought the Alta Performance intake along with the cover for the air box. It came to about $300 total but was well worth it. Can't wait to install it. I am gonna install the pulley this summer with Tom's help assuming he wi...

Re: Heartland Park - Aprill 11, 2012

You'd be smarter to run it the way it is first, to learn how to drive the track properly, when and how to brake, what the right line is around the track, where all the corner stations are and what the flags mean and on and on and on.....the first time you're on the track there is so much informatio...

Re: Heartland Park - Aprill 11, 2012

I don't want to run Oliver on the track until I have his underdrive pulley installed. Gotta install the new CAI as well. I'd love to come out and watch. Maybe ride with one of the driver's out there. I'll bring my helmet.
