Re: How to put photo in profile

I have modified the avatar settings to allow images up to 70k to be uploaded.

An image that is 150x150 pixels at 8-bits should weigh in around 65k at max. Just as long as you aren't trying to upload 32-bit Photoshop or TIFF files you should be OK now :)

Re: Screen Name Change

I have screen name changes disabled on here partly for security and partly to avoid confusion on everyone else's part... But if you're completely desperate to change it, I can always try working Voodoo directly on the database itself to affect a name change that won't make you lose your count or any...

Re: Spammers!

HI Everyone- I have adjusted the CAPTCHA settings to use the reCAPTCHA service from google. Hopefully that will affect the spammers some. If not, please send me a private message on the board and I'll see what else can be done. Sorry I haven't been monitoring the site as closely as I used too - I ha...

Yeah its not a big deal - I've spent more money on far more frivolous things so don't worry about it

Re: kcminiacs.org set to expire Feb. 11

Hi Everyone! Sorry I haven't gotten back - I hadn't received any notices from the forums telling me that there had been activity on this thread so I thought I'd check it one last time before GoDaddy recycled the domain name - and I'm glad I did! What I have done is renewed the KCMINIACS.ORG domain f...

Re: kcminiacs.org set to expire Feb. 11

It's about $10 or $11 to register for another year, plus another eight bucks for private registration. I don't think there will be a rush to grab that domain for another group, just more along the lines of people setting up fake search result pages so that if someone goes to that, they might think t...

kcminiacs.org set to expire Feb. 11

Hey Everyone, I'm not sure if you're aware of it or not, but the clubs original domain name kcminiacs.org is about to expire. We've had the domain set to kcminiclub for quite some time, but if you want to retain the original kcminiacs.org name please let me know and I'll go ahead and re-register it ...

Today's downtime

Hello folks, I apologize for today's downtime. The same website that I also host that kept causing us to get shutdown earlier this spring was once again the culprit. For some reason, the hackers really like that person's domain name to infiltrate. Due to the consistent basis in which that domain is ...

Re: Error message

So what happened? Someone forget to make the monthly payment? Actually I'm prepaid for the next 617 days. The account was offline for the same reason as last time "suspicious" files were found on a scan and the hosting provide can't explain to me how, after following all their secu...

Re: KCME Forum Upgrade

However, one small glitch seems to remain, I have to login every time I open the forum, and if I navigate away from the Board index (like to change something in my profile). This issue should now be resolved. For those curious, the problem was in the cookie settings. Being a paranoid person, I made...

Re: KCME Forum Upgrade

The answer: Don't use the spam blackhole lookup list feature of the board as it apparently doesn't cache the data and looks it up each time, causing a nice 30 second delay. Gross.

But fixed :)

Re: KCME Forum Upgrade

I too noticed the lengthy delay between pushing the button and anything else happening.. I have no idea why this would be happening. I'll look into the session expiration too.

KCME Forum Upgrade

Hello! It seems that the upgrade of the forum software has gone fairly well. Smilies are temporarily back to the default set, and I will be re-uploading those presently. However, user Avatars are a bit worse for the wear - if you had an avatar that you had previously uploaded to the KCME forums and ...

Thanks for all the tips and suggestions - I just went through and turned off the 'auto-prune' feature on two of the forum sections that had it enabled. phpBB Upgrade

Hey everyone, I am going to begin preparations to migrate this forum to the new version of phpBB in the coming weeks, and set an official migration date once I'm comfortable with how things will run. This way the board will be on a more secure platform that is currently being developed on. Best, Rich

kcminiclub.com domain renewal

Hey MINI fans, I received an email this morning from my domain registrar that kcminiclub.com is set to expire in 60 days. Renewal rates are as following: 1yr - $19.01 2yr - $38.02 3yr - $57.03 5yr - $94.05 9yr - $168.33 This rate includes the actual domain renewal plus privacy protection, which is $...

Also - what browser/os combination you're experiencing this error with might be of assistance.

Does this message look like phpBB or does it look like the webserver is sending it? I'll try to investigate but I have no idea what I can do if I do find something screwy. phpBB has released version 3 and I don't believe they are furthering development on version 2, which is what this board runs on.

Runflats are more expensive the smaller they are - I replaced my 17" rims with 16" rims and the whole set, with runflats cost the same as it would have for just 4 17" runflat tires.

So I just found some fancy 16" rims ;)

That's weird! The software for this board hasn't had any modifications to it for I dunno how long. Good advise on dumping the cache/clearing the auto-login. If all else fails, try to see if they can download FireFox 3 or Safari for Windows.
