I'm sure on a Mini we are only tapping into a small percentage of what this system can do.

Stupid question but what does the meth kit do? I've heard a lot of people talk about but no one has ever explained the point.... Beyond the 'more boost, more timing, more power' when you run a water mix you are essential steam cleaning the valves when spraying. Some people have installed a WMI hopi...

Yeah not cheap, but it's the only system designed for DI engines in particular and been ran on Mini's for years. Besides, over the lifetime of the motor, it works out. Now if the car had 90k miles on it...harder to justify. I could have spent the $1000 on an AccessPort to turn up the boost, or $1000...

Well it took a couple days and hitting up DIY Dave's in Olathe, but the water/methanol injection system is installed. So far no issues. The JCW seems to love it. Eventually will tune for it, but knowing I've stopped the carbon buildup issue dead is enough for now. Anyone thinking about doing this fe...

Can't make this Sunday, but I already signed up for the June event that includes a saturday driving school.

June 11th-15th I will be in lovely SF for Apple dev conference. Never going to make it out to the HPT touring club at this rate! I have August blocked out, even took the day off. So we will see.

I have a tool box full of stuff, but I find the Mini doesn't use many of the same things as my Dodge cars did.

Purchased my 2011 hot chocolate MCS two weeks ago. I putter around Olathe for the most part. Looking forward to meeting everyone. Going to try and make it to thursday drive in.
