Went for a battery yesterday at Standard Battery. Mine's been slow to turn over in the cold and the dealer said it was bad and throwing low voltage faults. Thanks for the tip, guys!

I've never seen an orange one of those either......not saying they don't make 'em, just that I've never seen one in more than 45 years of working on cars - maybe an aftermarket part from one of the specialty exhaust makers? I have orange/red rubber exhaust hangers on my Justa (not aftermarket). :D ...

Turned out to be jack point. Unfortunately, it ripped and wrinkled the underside of the side skirt also.

So my wife took my mini out of town. I spoke with her on the phone and she knocked something off the bottom of the car trying to straddle something. She says it's a hard piece of rubber resembling a giant pez candy. Any ideas? She told me it sounded horrible when she scraped. Not what I wanted to he...

I really like Freddie's. We have one in Liberty. Wish I could have made it. I'm going to be on short term disability for a few weeks. Looking forward to making it to a get together!

I noticed my dipstick was cracked while I was checking my oil. It broke while trying to reinsert. Luckily, there was just enough sticking out to pull it out. Whew! So glad it wasn't down in my engine.

Snow and ice packed wheels caused me some major vibration on the highway. It didn't melt off in the garage overnight, so I was afraid maybe I'd messed up my front end ebraking and drifting. But eventually it melted and all is well.
