rough ride
How would this effect my ride? Recommendation from Baron, "Replace both front lower control arm bushing(s)". I just had new rear pads and rotors installed and the tires rotated. My car has some vibration and feels and sounds like a truck with monster mud tires (slight exaggeration). Feels ...

Re: baron discount
Thanks all! Was kicking myself for missing the toys for tots campaign. I thought about checking out KC Autosport. I see now there is a Harvester's food drive at Baron. Going to cash in and help out the community. My step sister used to be Harvester's director.

Does Baron Mini give 15% discount on service or only parts for KC mini club members?

Re: Replacement battery for R53 (04 MCS)
Went for a battery yesterday at Standard Battery. Mine's been slow to turn over in the cold and the dealer said it was bad and throwing low voltage faults. Thanks for the tip, guys!

Re: Question
I've never seen an orange one of those either......not saying they don't make 'em, just that I've never seen one in more than 45 years of working on cars - maybe an aftermarket part from one of the specialty exhaust makers? I have orange/red rubber exhaust hangers on my Justa (not aftermarket). :D ...

Question
So my wife took my mini out of town. I spoke with her on the phone and she knocked something off the bottom of the car trying to straddle something. She says it's a hard piece of rubber resembling a giant pez candy. Any ideas? She told me it sounded horrible when she scraped. Not what I wanted to he...

I really like Freddie's. We have one in Liberty. Wish I could have made it. I'm going to be on short term disability for a few weeks. Looking forward to making it to a get together!

Well done.Hagar46 wrote:Front wheel bearing hubs replaced today. No more loud humming sound at speed from the driver's side front wheel. After inspection of old bearings, one was very loose and one was very tight. Not sure which was the culprit but glad to have them both replaced.

Broken dipstick
I noticed my dipstick was cracked while I was checking my oil. It broke while trying to reinsert. Luckily, there was just enough sticking out to pull it out. Whew! So glad it wasn't down in my engine.

Re: Snow!
Snow and ice packed wheels caused me some major vibration on the highway. It didn't melt off in the garage overnight, so I was afraid maybe I'd messed up my front end ebraking and drifting. But eventually it melted and all is well.

Re: CAI
For those who had them and took them off, why? Too much noise, or............? I bought mine used to try it out. For the R56, the oiled filter does bother me a bit for longevity of the MAF as the filter is bolted onto the MAF. The noise is spectacular! I will miss that. I will tap the throttle just...
