I think someone mentioned this already, but I will suggest it again. Go to a meeting and see what other owners have and what they like/dislike about their MINIs. Sit it them and ask questions. It is honestly the best way you can make up your mind. I owned a Classic for many years before I bought my ...

No way! My 01 Saab 93 SE seats were way more comfy than my 08 S seats. At least I think so :P

I don't know what to tell you about the arches. If I was there, I could come over and look at it. Damn!! Here are some must needed supplies for your Mini: Adjustable lower control arms - one of the best investments you can make. It allows you to make on the car camber adjustments. I have these: http...

im going to give gbcarparts a call and see what they suggest. if the hi-los are a huge hassle, then im gonna just suck it up and pay extra for some flares i know will fit. thanks for the help! I don't think your sport pack arches are going to be any bigger than the ones you have on now. My front wh...

I had the same frustrations when I changed to the 7 inch wheels. You wouldn't have any rubbing with the 6 inch variety. Just like me, we are past that stage. The hi-los are a bit of a pain to put on. On the front end, you need a special spring compression tool. The rear end is a bit easier. I didn't...

I'm prepared for a little ribbing on this one, but I definitely pay more for "designer." My shoe/handbag habits have crossed over into the automotive world. I have and will continue to pay more for the JCW parts and pieces on my ride. :D And the bonus is that the JCW goodies work, too. Do...

I have to side with the folks who balk at the price tag. Give me a break. For another 1K, my MINI will be at or over 200HP and I didn't pay anything close to 38K.

I would recommend 13X6 wheels. The steering is much better and the car tracks better.

Now there's an idea! If you bring it we can check it out. I will pack all the stuff that goes with Lola's and we'll see what happens. (her's has a mesh type wall that you can use to make the kennel smaller while they are puppies when they don't need all the room) This is what her's looks like. Seri...

Those numbers were from the weather gadget at the MITM site. Other weather sites have the temps in the Mid 70's for all the days. I will do some pre-packing tonight, but can't do much since the dog kennel is the biggest item and has to be on the bottom of everything. Why we have a kennel that will ...

Hey Seth- Wasn't the Suez Canal situation also responsible for the whole "bubble car" genre such as BMW Isettas, Messerschmidts, etc.? I think I recall reading where Sir Issigonis (sp?) hated those damned bubble cars. Someday, I want to visit the microcar museum in Georgia. See www.microc...
