Hey Minidave, Time to call your friend and sweet talk him into selling you the cool red/white estate wagon. You have to own this mini. It would be the perfect book end, a matching twin to my red/white mini pickup (which is likely to sport 10" minilites). If not minilites, revolutions at least. ...

UPDATE!!! No need to ask any more questions. I did a zillion minutes of midnight research, worldwide, and discovered that I do, in fact, need a Mini pickup. Oddly enough, there are even forums for things as obsure as Mini pickups. The web is a wonderful tool for making the world seem sooo much small...

Work is going to keep me from improving my driving skills and getting the GP over 100mph on the front straight. I will be in Germany improving my driving skills on the autobahn for the week. I hope to be able to make the Sept. date. Have a blast and drive safe Gosh, if you're gonna miss the event, ...

I'm confirmed for August, beginning class, take II. :D Would be even more fun if we can round up a few more MINI folks. Can't just give the track to Corvettes and Elises. Bring a full tank of gas, and a cooler of water. We'll need the H20. Hey, for you folks who are on the fence... This is a remarka...

Dave,

I need to get signed up for August. Did you sign up as novice or intermediate?

But in a good natured and informative way................ I think you missed some of my bigger gaffs... Good thing. I'd hate to have that "on film." :) Hey, next time, I'll be an experienced Novice, and I'm already counting down the days. I hijacked one of the other threads with a ...

Very Nice! Is that your 1st in-car video footage? Looks great. It would really be fun to at least double our Mini count on the August 15 event. The video does a good job of showing how controlled the event is. I would think it might help comfort and sway anyone whose interested, but a bit timid abou...

clarification:

I located a mini enthusiast who owns a mini truck, among his collection. I don't know if any are for sale... My goal is just see one up close before I begin searching the globe for a pickup. :)

My sleuthing has paid off. I just located a Missouri resident who has a handful of classic minis, including a pickup.

I'll report back once I get a chance to see it.

A traveler? You're probably right... especially considering my wife's desire for a woody. There's a link to a UK company off minimania's site--I think it's called M-Tec. Anyway, they show an almond green traveler woody that's sooo sweet. I like the earthy 60's OEM colors like almond green, the paste...

Great info., folks. Gosh... I am having a difficult time with "forum formatting 101". I can't seem to get anyone's comments displayed in this thread as quotes... oh well. Bear with me. Beautiful traveler, Minidave... Sell the Jag, get the traveler and have plenty of cash to replenish the 4...

I want a classic. FINALLY, SOME UPDATES

Hey classic mini folks. I've been trying really, really hard to just look the other way everytime I see (or think of) a classic mini. But it's not working. Every day it gets worse. I'm ready to give in to the craze and just buy one... I really love the pickups, but am concerned that they might not h...

I didn't make the same trip to Herman, but passed through there on a three-day trip in June '06. I totally agree that the interstates are pretty aweful (and boring) in Missouri. I was very amazed and delighted to find that nearly every secondary rural route that I drove (the majority of my trip) was...

Addendum to the Blue River Road:

GREAT road, all the way from Swope Park to Martin City. HOWEVER, there are lots of deer out there! Be careful at dawn, dusk and night. I've driven (and bicycled) that route for 20+ years. Again, lots of deer to add to the mix.
