Need advice about body shop / paint job

Post by Little_Green_Frog »

Hi all -

The little green frog unfortunately was the victim of a hit and run last night. Fortunately it was just scraped and I think it's a simple cosmetic issue. Wondering if anyone had a good body shop to recommend. I appreciate it, thank you in advance. !

Baron has a new body shop. Another good place I have heard about is Eveland Bros. Stay clear of KC Colors on stateline, I personally had a bad experience with them.

Eveland Bros is the only place I use, I've always had extremely good service from them, most expensive place in town tho......didn't matter, insurance was paying for it so I let them argue with the body shop.

This is out of pocket for me - assuming it isn't 1000 or more, still debating on claiming the H&R on my insurance. I guess it doesn't really matter but will be paying some regardless. Obviously want a good job tho =/ so irritating!

I would run it through insurance. Paint and body work adds up quickly.

My insurance company had highly recommended Hendrick Automotive they did a great job and well known for doing high end cars. I was in a wreak last fall in the 2011 mini cooper convertible it was only 6 months old, and a lady pulled out in front of me, no way to stop and slammed in her, 3 months later and $18,000 shazam Beep Beep was back, yes 3 months is a long time, apparently the convertible was a mid year, so wrong parts kept being ordered, and several miss communications between baron, and Hendrick but finally got the car back, I lived threw it and all is well except, what I am going to loose in when it shows up on car fax.

Not to thread-jack, but isn't there a concept of "diminished value" or some such thing for which you should have been compensated?

Maybe some of our members with experience with that can chime in.

I was backed into and after all was fixed I got a check for around 500-700. Your agent can help give a better figure

Also, Pirello Body Shop was awesome!

We do paint and body at our shop in Olathe. From what you describe, we could probably do it for under $500. I can give you an exact quote if you email me a photo and the paint code, or you can just bring it by the shop.

Here is a sample of our work, a victim of the recent snow event.

Butler C&D Body Shop... much lower rent than Eveland Bros. and same-same clientele.

I have a guy I take my stuff to that is very reasonable and has painted several cover vehicles for mini truckin and Hot Rod magazine....

He paints for a living in a factory. Then does it for a hobby at his home, would require you leaving him the vehicle for a few days, but he is very reasonable and Does incredible work.

Shoot Me a pm if you want to know more
