Aftermarket brake pads?
What are y'all using for aftermarket brake pads? I'm a bit late asking, as MiniX2 just replaced all of mine yesterday, but I'd like to hear for future reference. The set before the new ones didn't last as long as what came from the factory, but also didn't throw as much dust. Input?

Re: Aftermarket brake pads?
I'm running Akebono's (ceramics) on the Audi, it used to bury the wheels in black dust before but now there's none, and they feel fine. I may try some on my MINI the next set I buy. I really like the factory pads for their initial bite and longevity, but hate that damn black dust! Looks like they're about $65 a set too, which is cheaper than factory pads.

I like EBC Green Stuff aftermarket pads. Much less dust and good longevity.

There have been some complaints about EBC pads separating from the backing plates - there's a thread on it over on Motoring Alliance, FWIW.

I must not be braking hard enough at HPT! Lol
Edit: I've been through at least three sets of EBC's without problems in my 150k miles of use.

Re: Aftermarket brake pads?
This time around I have factory pads on the JCW BBK and Street Plus on the back. I had EBCs last time and decided to go a different route this time. I might be scrubbing wheels more often.

Re: Aftermarket brake pads?
I am running EBC green stuff on the front and back. No complaints except that my wheels are powdered coated white, so they get dirty no matter what pads I run on them.
