So my wife took my mini out of town. I spoke with her on the phone and she knocked something off the bottom of the car trying to straddle something. She says it's a hard piece of rubber resembling a giant pez candy. Any ideas? She told me it sounded horrible when she scraped. Not what I wanted to hear.

Resembling pez candy? Bet $2 its the Jacking Point or an exhaust hanger since those rubber things are orange like Pez.

My jack point rubbers are black.....I've never seen an orange one.

I was referring to the Orange colored exhaust hangers.

Turned out to be jack point. Unfortunately, it ripped and wrinkled the underside of the side skirt also.

I've never seen an orange one of those either......not saying they don't make 'em, just that I've never seen one in more than 45 years of working on cars - maybe an aftermarket part from one of the specialty exhaust makers?

I have orange/red rubber exhaust hangers on my Justa (not aftermarket).

Yes, Keith, not many silk green MINIs around. Another one just moved into Kearney, MO a couple of months ago. Ran into them at Wendy's.
