New to the club and MINIs.

Good morning, I'm new to the club and new to MINIs. I've signed in on the Facebook page and now here. I recently purchased a low mileage 2002 MCS that I love. It needed tires so the first upgrade was a set of Firestone Indy 500s and I have a 17% pulley waiting for me to install.
I'm looking forward to getting out and meeting you.
Scott

Nice car. I saw that one I think on craigslist if I'm not mistaking. The 2002 is rare. Haven't seen many of them.

Thanks! It was on Craigslist. I'm really happy with it. I didn't realize that about the 2002s.

I haven't seen many 2002 cars so in my opinion the 2002 R53 is special in that regard just like the 2006 R53 is special for all the great improvements they did as it was being replaced by the R56

Welcome to the club, Scott!

Scott did one of the quickest turnarounds on borrowing tools I've seen, he came over about 9 pm to borrow the pulley puller and serpentine tool and had them all back to me by 6 the next evening!

He also used the "Lifter uppers" as Davester calls them, to great effect - I want to remind people that if you are thinking of doing some work under your car be sure to set it safely on jackstands.

Thanks for letting me come get the tools at 9:00pm. The lifteruppers are a great tool. I'm sure I'll be bugging you for them soon enough.

I'm definitely going to make an event soon.

By the way as Dave mentioned I did install the pulley and what a nice upgrade for 150 bucks or so (with belt and colder plugs). Lots more power down low and it screams up top. I've also ordered a cold air intake since the stock filter needed replaced anyways.
The only other modifications I'm planning on are a rear swaybar and the "one ball" mod.

I think it means ditto. Rather than saying welcome to the club more than once. Lol. Unless my online lingo is wrong.

I see. I thought I did something wrong. I'm an overthinker so it left me wondering what might it be. Hahaha :D
Anyway, thank you and I appreciate it.
