Sirius Stratus IV Install

Post by JohnBLZ »

Looking for some assistance on how to hard wire a Stratus IV. I have several available circuits I could tap into (PDC, MINI Joystick etc etc) that are unused, but everything on NAM shows them using the add a circuit rather than a direct tap.

I don't want to do anything to even toe the line when it comes to violating the warranty...any of you familiar with this so I don't hose myself?

Are the add a circuits available locally?

Don't know about those, but I wanted a non cigarette lighter power source for my XM in my 3 series (I think this might be an appropriate post because we have cars born from the same family), so I found that I had a rollover sensor fuse slot (used when a convertible rolls over to trip the backseat head rests roll bars). Then I went to the auto store and got a fuse tap. It goes in the open slot, has a fused wired that comes off of it and still leaves the original wiring intact.
