Does anyone know if this jack will fit under my R53?

It should, you can go down to the Harbor Freight store and check it out, they usually have one on display. I bought the all steel version and haven't found a MINI yet it wouldn't go under......I think Dimini has that very jack and it's terrific....the all steel one is REALLY heavy!

Picked up the 1.5 ton. Should I have sprung for the 2 ton?

Also, recommendations for a good, economical, torque socket rachet?

1.5 ton is 3,000 lbs, will you be lifting anything heavier than that? If not, good to go.....if so or if you want the increased stability of the bigger footprint of the 2 ton, maybe that's a better buy for you - both do the job depending on what job it is you're doing.

Two ways to go on the torque wrench - buy the $20 one from HF, or buy this instead, or in addition too....

I have both. I use the electronic one to check the accuracy of the regular torque wrench - and to re-calibrate it if needed.

They also make electronic torque wrenches too, I don't know if HF carries them tho.....those run about $125 from Sears or Amazon for example.
