How much does it cost to port and polish a Cylinder Head on an R56 Cooper S? Trying to figure this out to see if it might be worthwhile to do on my new car or just stick with a good cleaning and/or rebuild if needed.

So just a good cleaning and reassembly or rebuild if needed. We figured out what caused cylinder 2 to go, but think cylinder 4 has something to do with the cylinder head.

You should disassemble it, give it a good clean and a valve job.....check the cam for wear unless you've got a new one already.

Haven't bought new cams. May upgrade one or both. The shop the cylinder head is at is the one Baron uses. We are waiting for them to tell us what is or isn't wrong with the cylinder head and then they're going to disassemble, clean, and reassemble or rebuild. We aren't sure yet.
