Road Trip to California

Post by Hagar46 »

Just got back from week long road trip to Oklahoma City, Amarillo, Santa Fe, and Sacramento, CA to visit with clients. 30 hours driving 2035 miles one-way in my MINI. Not exactly a local scenic drive but had great fun and saw some scenic parts of the western US. 150 miles of the Mojave Desert is pretty desolate, however. No civilization in sight. Love driving my MINI and made it back just before the ice! :D

Glad you had a safe trip, there should have been a lot of scenic opportunities for a MINI-pic, got any to share?

No pictures. I forgot my camera and my music CD's. Had to listen to some country music on the radio for part of the trip! I prefer classic rock.

I'm sure I did. Kept seeing signs that said 'Old Route 66'.

Awesome. I want to drive Route 66 someday. (OT: I think I've seen your Mini at a gas station before in Lenexa on college blvd.)

Probably not me. I'm rarely south of the river, mostly in Liberty or the Northland.
