Twisted Minis of Kansas are Facebook friends with the Kansas City group and we got sent an invite for this drive so I thought it would be fun for us to get together and cruise. I must have been the only one that thought so. I mainly just invited the people around Wichita.

We are so excited for this drive! Any idea of a final car total for the drive? It looks to be a very nice turnout. As always, if you mention donuts, the Minis/MINIs will come!

I updated the first post in this thread with the RSVP list. Would you please check it for accuracy? (It's me, not you...) I count 20 cars, 26 humans.

If you are on the list and not going to make it, please let me know. If you aren't on the list and are going, please let me know. If I don't have your +1 or more number right, holler. It's important we let the lunch stops, the donut shops and the car show organizer know how many of us to expect and I need help getting this right. I had a real go of it trying to merge the Facebook RSVPS with the forum.

And you guys, seriously, I had no idea so many of you would be down for this kind of drive. I've talked about doing this drive since I first drove the Kansas portion of Route 66 on the infamous Baron MINI scavenger hunt of 2005. This is gonna be a blast!

Right now I'm still taking Buzz.....I'll see what the weather guessers say on Friday night and decide then I guess. I'm not eager to take Buzz into heavy rain and T-storms.....tho he's done it before.

I talked with MiniX2 about this and he's committed to taking Moxie but will make a last minute call based on weather updates. I may end up with a passenger and a weekend of marriage enrichment.

There is a Plan B in place for Saturday night should the weather be a concern. Not a car show but still a fun evening as an alternate.

The organizers of the Bolivar Cruise-In are close friends, so we are in touch and will have info as it becomes available. Not gonna sweat it at this point. Looks like the forecast has clearing in the evening, just hoping that happens in time.
