Our application form has been submitted.

Parkville 4th of July Parade - Monday, July 4th, 2016.
This is an extremely slow moving (parades speeds), family friendly, all age, event and everyone is invited to attend. Please reply to this thread with the number of MINIs/Minis and peeps.

Line up and Route Information:
The Parade line up starts at 9:00 am and the parade begins about 10:00 am-ish. The theme is “United We Stand”. For those of you are new to this event, set your GPS to 6300 NW Bell Rd, Parkville, MO 64152. There will be a parade volunteer that will point you to a general assembly point for the group and tell us who we follow in the parade. I will be there with the Hyper Blue/White 06 MCS with the blue wheels. The parade route is southbound on 9 Highway, to Main Street through downtown Parkville. The parade ends at the bottom of Main Street at the rail road tracks and loops back to 9 Highway via the parking lot of English Landing Park. (We usually meet up afterward in the parking lot of the Parkville Athletic Complex at 6014 on 9 Highway, to chat for a bit).

There are just a couple of parade safety rules that the police officers strictly enforce:
1) once the parade starts, you must stay in your car
2) spectators are not allowed to approach the cars
3) no candy throwing - you can have some one walk the route and pass out candy

Some things that you may want to bring:
• detailing kit
• decorations – if you choose to decorate your MINI/Mini
• water / something cool to drink
• snacks
• sunblock
• camera

Other 4th of July Celebration Activities:
Pancake breakfast at the American Legion 7:00 am - 11:00 am
Parade 10:00 am
Carnival rides and vendors: 11:00 a.m. - 10:00 pm
Fireworks start at 9:45 pm

Participants:
. David and the Princess / Bruiser
. Marlow Main / Cousteau
. Zackattack28 / Sirius
. Minidrama ?
. Cathy V ?
. Jeff & Jane / Bigbertha
. Wes & Deb / yellow Sub
. Frank / "the other hyper blue car" aka the blue goose :)
. Patti / yellow MCS

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks and see you on the 4th!!!

We would love to have you. As for your furry friends, it might be a hot, and there is very little / no shade in the line up path. I think the pavement would be hot on their feet (if they are out of the car before the parade). If you decide to bring them I would suggest bringing plenty of water for them.

Good Morning & Happy Independence Day! :wave

The route is drying out as cars are driving on it this morning, however the side roads to get to the line up area are still wet, so you might want to bring extra detailing supplies. If you chill easily, a light jacket or sweatshirt would be a good idea also.

Thanks for spending you holiday morning in The Parvkille Parade.
See you soon
