MINI'S TO RICHMOND, MISSOURI CAR RALLY/SHOW 2017

WHO: ALL MINI COOPER OWNERS (Vintage Coopers Welcome)

WHAT: Car Rally at Richmond, Missouri’s Annual Mushroom Festival

WHEN: SATURDAY, MAY 6th, 2017

WHERE: RICHMOND, Missouri (50 MILES EAST OF KANSAS CITY)
This location is a short drive from Kansas City and Mid-Missouri, however we encourage all MINI’s through out the state to make the trip to Richmond for this MINI Rally.

TIMETABLE:
9:30 AM-10:00 AM: ARRIVE IN RICHMOND, MO
10:00 AM-12:00 PM: SOCIALIZE- experience MUSHROOM FESTIVAL Exhibits & ACTIVITIES
12:00 PM (NOON) : ORGANIZE FOR MUSHROOM FESTIVAL PARADE
12:15 PM: DRIVE TO PARADE LINE-UP AT SOUTHVIEW POOL
1:00 PM: MUSHROOM FESTIVAL PARADE STARTS
2:00-2:45 PM: RETURN TO RALLY SITE- OPTIONAL SOCIAL GATHERING: HomeTown Pizza
(PARK YOUR MINI AND STAY AS LONG AS YOU LIKE OR DEPART AFTER THE PARADE)

WHY: This will be the FIFTH year that there will be a MINI Cooper Rally at the Richmond Mushroom Festival. In 2015, NINETEEN MINI’s attended and we all enjoyed the parade and diversity of the Mushroom Festival. There were many unique vendors and a wide array of foodstands. The people of Richmond missed seeing the MINI Coopers in the parade last year and wanted us to come back this year.

DETAILS: The Mushroom Festival is an annual event that attracts a lot of people and they start on Thursday evening and conclude on Sunday. They have provided us a area to display our MINI’s next to the vendors. There is no cost, just a great time for fellowship, to display our MINI’s and participate in their Mushroom Festival parade.

MINI PASSION: Hilary Morrissey is a passionate MINI owner. She has attended MINI Cooper shows and events throughout the state as well as hosting the MINI’s to Macon show in October 2011 & 2013, the MINI’s to Richmond show for the last 4 years plus the MINI’s to the Springs Rally in Excelsior Springs, MO in 2016. The opportunity to get a group of MINI’s together at a fun event seems very appealing, so here we go! Mark Saturday, May 6th, 2017 on your calendar and make the trip to Richmond, Missouri!

I'm interested in more information about this event ? Exactly where is Richmond, Mo. as to Kansas City ? I live south of Kansas City in a little town called " Belton ", I've heard of Richmond before but can't relocate if I've been there ? Plus I would need a map and times and where to hook up with everyone. That way I can request time off from work for that Saturday. Thanks for any help so I would be able to go to this,, as well as any information on the Crown Center event as I will need to put in a request off for that day on May 20th.

Saturday, May 6th, 2017 will be a day to mark on your calendar as there will be a MINI Cooper Rally at the Mushroom Festival in Richmond, Missouri! Our website has all of the information to make your decision about attending this years event. The Mushroom Festival is anxious to have the MINI Coopers return this year. Wow! Wow! Wow! I am excited to inform everyone that we have 17 MINI Coopers registered for the MINI's to Richmond, MO Car Rally/Show! I am now hoping we can get to 24 MINI's and have a tremendous showing. Please advise me if you can make our event as we feel like it will be a lot of fun! It would be nice to have everyone to pre-register however you can still drive in the day of the event!

I will be looking forward to meeting up with old friends and meeting new friends! See you on Saturday, May 6th, 2017!

Would all the people going from KC area like to meet and drive in together like we have in the past?

If we meet up at the Ameristar the drive is only about 40 minutes to Richmond (taking 210 all the way). We've met in an outer lot of the Casino near the entrance. Festivities don't start until 10:00 and the parade set up is at 12:15. We can meet around 8:45am in the lot and leave for the drive at 9:00ish.

Please chime in with your thoughts.

I'm still on the fence for this one. I am a big MAYBE - LOL. I know that doesn't help but it is the best that I can do right now

Some classics in the event would be cool. We need them in the 4th of July parade as well
