WEATHER UPDATE: As of 9:45, everything is still a GO for today. Should there be heavy rain or storm warnings, the drive may be shortened and the birthday celebration will continue at the park shelter.

Let’s go on a drive to celebrate Mini’s 60th birthday and finish with a proper birthday celebration!

We will meet at 12:30 PM on Sunday, August 25th for a 1 PM departure. Meeting spot is Price Chopper at 9717 N Ash Ave, KCMO. (This is the north Liberty Price Chopper at 291 and I-35.) We will go on a group drive through the rolling hills of the Northland, all paved roads with minimal left turns. The drive is approximately 60 miles and will last about two hours.

At 3 PM, the drive will conclude with a birthday celebration. Shelter 2 at Bennett Park in Liberty has been rented for the occasion. Birthday cake will be served, feel free to bring a non-alcoholic beverage (park rules), a chair, lawn games, leashed dogs. The shelter is adjacent to a playground and portable restrooms. The permanent bathrooms are under construction. A handwashing station will be available.

If you’d like to bring a birthday gift, we will be collecting school supplies to donate to Jackson County CASA. They are in need of school supplies year round for children in foster care.

RSVPs kindly appreciated by August 18th. Number of cars and people helpful so an appropriate number of route sheets and cake is available.

1. Meet up location is the same as above, meet in the northeast corner of the lot, beside the building.
2. Drive is rain or shine. There is one re-group stop along the route with a restroom.
3. Bring a beverage for the birthday party at the end of the drive.
4. School supply donations for Jackson County CASA will be collected after the drive at the park shelter.
