Peanut Butter Jelly Drive! Peanut Butter Jelly Drive!
During the month of February, the JFS food pantry is holding a "Spread the Love" food drive, collecting peanut butter, jelly and other non-perishable spreadables like Nutella, other nut butters, sunbutter, jam, marmalade... Pre-Covid, they distributed about 300 jars of peanut butter a month. This year their goal is to collect 1,000 jars in a month. Let's go on a fun hour-long drive concluding at the Jewish Community Center between 11 and 11:30 where they are having a drive-thru food drive drop off point.*
Sunday, February 21st
9:45 Meet at Baron MINI
10:00 Depart for a fun hour-ish long drive
11-11:30 End at the Jewish Community Center, 5801 W. 115th Street, Overland Park, KS
I will post the route prior to the drive so you can have a look at it and print it out if you'd like. I know it's hard to follow a route sheet without a navigator when you haven't had a look ahead of time. Route here:
An RSVP isn't required, but appreciated. I'll get drive stickers made for the first 25 who let me know they are coming.
*It is NOT required that you contribute to the peanut butter and jelly collection to come along on the drive. You may prefer to donate somewhere else, maybe you can't donate right now, maybe this just isn't your jam. Come for the drive anyway. Seriously, everyone is welcome!
About the JFS pantry: The JFS Food Pantry, with locations in Overland Park, KS and Kansas City, MO, is the community’s response to the growing need for food assistance in greater Kansas City.
