Yay me! I was worried you were quoting "Army of Darkness".
You sent us to camp.
They made us sing.

Another quote, since the first one isn't getting anywhere,
You have taken the land which is rightfully ours. Years from now my people will be forced to live in mobile homes on reservations. Your people will wear cardigans, and drink highballs. We will sell our bracelets by the road sides, you will play golf, and enjoy hot hors d'oeuvres. My people will have pain and degradation. Your people will have stick shifts. The gods of my tribe have spoken. They have said, "Do not trust the Pilgrims, especially Sarah Miller."

Uh huh, thank you, uh thank you very much............

(That's my terrible Elvis impression for those who couldn't tell  )

I doubt anyone will get this one, but it's actually a fun little movie, and I urge those of you with Netflix to put it in your cue...........

This 1985 flick is based in part on a student film shot by a graduate student at UCLA film school, the famous lead in the movie tried to get a part in the student film but didn't and later played the same character in the feature. Steven Spielberg was "involved", but later had his name removed because he thought it was so terrible - I disagree FWIW............but the production credit is Amblin Productions

It's a coming of age movie, it's a love story, it's a Vietnam draft movie, it's a road trip movie and it's full of wonderful Pat Metheny music, one song from which either the title of the movie is taken or the title of the song, don't know which came first but I have the Metheny album that it's on and it's terrific (As Falls Wichita, so Falls Wichita Falls)........

It's shot in a very deep southern part of Texas, and it's so hot, dry and dusty that you'll need a drink before the movie ends.

Here's the official plot outline:
It's 1971 at the University of Texas, Austin. College buddies, facing graduation, marriage, and the draft, skip out of their own graduation party and head to the Mexican border for some adventure, a buried secret, and one last go-around at "the privileges of youth".

A couple of quotes, then..........

Phillip: They're airheads Gardener. Bimbos. Little girls with little brains.
Gardner: "well we're not trying to expand their MINDS Phillip so don't get picky on me.

Judy: Then she had her utopian tubes removed.
Gardner: "No That's fallopian darlin'.
Judy: Fallopian? Them's books of the bible silly... first and second fallopians!

Gardner: There's nothing wrong with going nowhere, son. It's a privilege of youth

No guesses?

How about if I tell you the lead was played by Kevin Costner? I don't know if it's his first film, but it has to be at least one of the first he did...........

Seems I dropped the ball on this one, this movie was originally produced by Speilberg's Amblin Entertainment (and in fact they are still the production company of record) but SS asked to have his name removed from it - because he thought it was so terrible!

I find it fun and the scenes at the wedding at the end are pure magic, along with Matheny's score it really makes for a memorable movie.

Most people remember the skydiving scenes the most however!

I highly recommend you rent ..........Fandango

I have not seen it yet, but I did see the trailer. This would be Robert Downey, Jr as Tony Stark, former arms dealer now smart-a** with a consciense and a big high-tech arsenal -- IRONMAN. (go,Ozzy!!!)

Sorry, I can't even think the word without falling into a MINI trance of Ozzy (in BlackSabeth) singing, "I am Ironman, dun, dun, dun, dun dun - dudndundudnduh..."

Okay, here are two good lines from the same movie.

What some folks call impossible, is just stuff they haven't seen before.

and

What's true in our minds is true, whether some people know it or not.

Happy guessing

I do not know this one, but I asked my daughter in Italy and she said this was a movie from a few years ago called What Dreams May Come with Robin Williams.

If I am wrong it's not my fault, I am blaming her even if she is 5,000 miles away.
