Oxygen sensor warranty extension

Anyone else get the letter regarding a warranty extension related to the oxgen sensor?
Johnna--BMPR CR '05 Chili Red JustaCVT, JCW Sound Kit #D344, JCW BBK, aFe cai, M7 Under Strut System, strut tower plates, Sparkly wheel arches, a little chrome. Garage-sharing w/ '12 Goodwood MCS #372, '06 MCS "Jack" and MiniX4's classic, Moxie.

It's only for '04 - '06 owners.

Apparently they're extending the warranty on O2 sensors on those cars to 10 years/100K due to the possibility some might fail prematurely.

Shoot, I was hoping it would apply to my old-timer 2003 w. 80,000...its about time for one anyway :wink:

Got mine... Then again I'm at 98K+ so it's not like it's really going to help me much!

Got mine during same time frame. Took the car for a warranty replacement of leaking motor mount and while there I asked Baron about the O2 sensor letter (I had already forgotten that it was a warranty extension and confused it with a recall notice). The SA said it was like a two-edge sword... if the car is brought in for possible O2 sensor failure, but found not to have failed, you get stuck with diagnostic fee.
