Re: What Happon?
Well a little update
As of tomorrow my car will be at Hubies shop in Lake Forest awaiting for his treatment next week when they return from the Philly stop of the ABFmotoring Road Tour and Tuning. The bottom-end will go to the machine shop for jetwash, bore&hone, deck surfacing, new freeze plugs, and Balance/Polish crank. My head will go to the machine shop also for CNC port and polishing. The tranny will be getting the OS Giken LSD put in. Then once those things are done I will be going out to Lake Forest for the final assembly, break-in, tuning and then driving home.
I am really looking forward to the end result. My estimations I will be making on ABF Performance's Mustang dyno (which reads 10% lower and is very very accurate) 240-250whp/185-190wtq or more . Which translates to 264-275whp (303-316hp)/203-209wtq (233-240tq) on a dynojet (dynapack aka Jan dyno ). Currently the current Factory SC R53 record for the dyno is 240whp and this is because every MINI is different.

Re: What Happon?
Update**
Currently waiting on my Stage3a head to get done at the CNC and built by Hubie. Everything else is done so I am looking at flying out either 13th or 20th for the break-in and tuning stage. Then the fun drive home.
Also having a custom exhaust made by Hubie for my setup too.
Only single sided on the right but the view of the left in this pic is the angle and tilt of the muffler out the back
close up of the right side only which is what I will run

How did your car get to Lake Forest? Did you flatbed it there?
You must make more money than I do.......

Yeah I had Magic Carpet Auto Transport take the car to Hubie's shop in Lake Forest.
When we got to the cost of things Hubie told me when he takes on a project its not like your local dealer or jiffy lube down the road where prices are set in stone and no accommodations can be made.
He is in it for the project not the money.

Re: What Happon?
This week Hubie is reassembling the motor, dropping the motor and trans back in the car, break-in the motor/trans, and tuning.
Here is a pic Hubie sent me last night

Re: What Happon?
I rather give an experience rather throw out numbers which are just from a measuring tool that is only used for plotting/translating the A/F across the rev range. One of the pulls was a misread and showed I made 2450whp/2010wtq but the A/F was where it needed from idle roll to WOT redline. Did another couple pulls the result perfect linear line to redline while at the same time the A/F from the misread pull was consistent which is what we were paying most attention and what the knock sensor and a bunch of other parameters that were being analyzed between pulls.

Re: What Happon?
So, you don't have numbers or you don't want to say?
Anyway, how's it run? What's your next mod?
Looks like you're back home again, what does your new plate say?

Re: What Happon?
I will be getting all the data from Jason when I get Mynes Bytetronik Datalogging software here in a few months.
The ride is unlike any R53 you have ever rode in . It runs so much smoother and stronger then before also but that is from having the Doctor build the motor. Next on the list is going Turbo-only here in a year.
Euro+Owned = Eurownd
I am going to be in KC this weekend for a family friends birthday. Since I won't be able to make it out to KC sometime after MITM/MTTS I was thinking of bring my car or hitching a ride with my parents. If anyone wants to experience an R53 with a Built motor I give free rides .

Re: What Happon?
I was just asking for numbers to get an idea of what your ride is like compared to my 08 JCW. If I was still in KS, I would ask for a ride
