Random thoughts....
Hey all, seemed kinda dead around so decided to make a thread to talk about random stuff without having to make a new thread about it. LOL
So what's everyone been up to lately?

You know what happens when you do something like that, right? Now you have to go edge the yard!
What have I been doing? Work, work, and oh yeah.....work.......
I did go bicycling with Dimini last Sunday, after being off the bike for about 10 years - today I can hardly move. No good deed will go unpunished......
Also, planning for August's MITS/MITM events. Trying to figure out how to make it to both without missing either. Might be tough to do.....looking at trailer hitches and rooftop carriers for the Clubby.

Re: Random thoughts....
I've been working a lot too. Been of since last wednesday though. Not looking forward to going back to work on Thursday though. I'm still planning on going to MTTS but trying to figure out how I'm going to afford the hotel...I don't have anyone to go with me. David has to work and I don't trust my sister in actually taking the days of to come with me and wouldn't give me money for anything for the trip anyway...

Re: Random thoughts....
The trailer hitch would be so I can tow my mower from our property out south in to the house so I can mow.
The roof rack/carrier is so I can carry my bike, the car top carrier would be for longer trips like MITM or if we went to see the kids either in Az or NC. The good news is the Audi uses the same bars and car top carrier as the MINI, so I can use it on either car.
I don't see my wife "camping" in one of those tear drop trailers anytime in this lifetime. Roughing it to her is not having the extra room in the suite....
Here's how I pull the mower now, but I always have to borrow her car. Having the hitch on the MINI means I wouldn't have to do that anymore....

My Pilotis are a complimentary color of blue, but I wouldn't say they match exactly......
Of course, I didn't buy them because they matched anyway......

Are Piloti's nice driving shoes? I've been thinking about buying a pair for a while...

Re: Random thoughts....
Depends.......
Are you talking about competition driving or just tooling down the road?
Well designed for the former, not necessary for the latter, IMHO......
The construction of the sole makes it easy to heel/toe on the track, I don't do a lot of that on the street.
They're also made of leather, so they're fire resistant - again, not needed for normal street driving. But, they do look cool, and there are 100's of different styles.
They are pretty comfortable, but I don't know anyone locally who sells them so you can try them on. Rose found mine on sale really cheap online and bought three different pair - only 2 of them fit me right.

Re: Random thoughts....
Oh hmmm. I don't do any competition driving so I can't say I'd use them for that... And if the sizes are weird I don't really want to get them if I can't try them on since I have weird feet (not exactly the same size). I do have a pair of those Goodyear shoes you can find at like Journey's and stuff and they're pretty comfortable for regular driving and road trips but they're not quite wide enough...
