Speed Sensors

Post by davester »

We worked on the speed sensors on Mark's "Monty" today. He had the "Trifecta" of three lights on his dash which indicate a bad speed sensor. We didn't have a BMW code reader to tell which sensor was firing off the code; so we removed both front sensors, inspected, cleaned and applied Dielectric grease to each and reinstalled. Now we wait and see if it lights up again. If so, we will have to install new sensors. I heard this is a common problem on R53's. If you get the "trifecta", we now know how to fix it. :D
