Hey y'all! You may have noticed I have adjusted the time. My announcement wasn't really clear on the start time. We'll be LEAVING John's Space Age Donuts at 7:30, so if you want to indulge in a treat there, arrive at 7-ish. (I know Blugoose is loving this! )

John's Space Age has, IMO, the best apple fritter in town. Two of them make a great bun for a fried tenderloin.

Howdy y'all! I just got back from a final run-through of the Tour de Donut route (which included my navigator eating so many donuts that he is currently napping).

Here are a few tips for the drive:

1. CA$H! At least two of the donut shops are CASH ONLY.

2. Have a pen handy if you plan to compete in the donut or coffee competitions. You'll need to track your own consumption.

3. If you have a GPS, bring it. While you will get turn-by-turn driving directions, I'll also provide exact addresses. I like this if I'm driving alone so I don't have to look at a paper map while driving.

4. Elastic waistbands are highly recommended.

Can't wait to see y'all next Saturday. This is gonna be one heckuva great time!

Hmm....I have the locations and directions printed out to distribute that morning, but if it would be helpful I could provide them in advance. With so many of us using navigation systems, it will be interesting to see how our routes vary!

I don't want to ruin the surprise of where we are going for everyone. If you'd like the list of addresses, drop me a PM. (Frank--your list is on the way. )
