Congrats dimini
Congrats dimini
I see dimini got a couple of pictures of his pickup in Mini World magazine on pages 90 and 91of the May 2011edition. Its from Mini 51 in October of last year. I was just wondering are those pictures of his best side?
Re: Congrats dimini
Are those available online?
I'd love to see them!

I don't know if they are online or not but I tried to copy it out of my magazine so lets see if I can upload the pictures. When I first got the mag I scanned through it to see the highlights and I only seen two pictures of his pickup and then I started reading it and seen the third pic. I hope these come through so that you can read them.

Thanks for posting those. I don't get MiniWorld and was unaware of the coverage. It was a fantastic event and you would have really enjoyed it. (not so sure you would have liked the marathon drive getting there, though). Pick-ups are 95 minute wonders... after 95 minutes, one wonders if they've gone nuts! I think thats why pick-ups were rebranded as Mini 95.
I haven't spent any time on the forums this winter and just jumped on today for the first time in ages...
Minidave has a nifty old Jag that should be roadworthy soon. It would be fun to gather all of our British toys and meet up somewhere between the cities before summer HEAT sets in.

Olpe or maybe Osceola. I'm not familiar with the roads near Olpe, but if you look 2 hours to the east, say Osceola, there are some pretty interesting roads in the Truman lake area.

Re: Congrats dimini
I was thinking of Gasmini, since he's in Wichita, and the Wichita All British Club is sponsoring a run to Olpe this spring, so it would be about halfway between him and us.....

Re: Congrats dimini
Dave,
The chicken run to Olpe is April 16 if you were thinking something that soon. I might be going if you guys decide you want to try it. I have a better map that shows in more detail some of the roads in that area and some of them even have a few curves (for Kansas thats saying a lot).

Yikes, I hadn't realized it was coming up that quickly - we've got an event on April 14th and another on the 20th too, I don't know if I can sandwich in yet another.
That reminds me of a post a Florida member wrote about the MINI on the Dragon event - The Dragon is 378 turns in 11 miles, he said here in Fla we have 11 turns in 378 miles!
