old bicycle tire

Anyone have an old bicycle tire hanging from the rafters of their garage. I am looking for one to do a mod to my lawnmower. I need one that has a turf type tread on it. Thanks :D

Perfect. The tire tread is dead on. I was going to replace the tires on my old John Deere walk behind (20 years old) until I priced the tires and wheels which are built together.-28.50 each yike! I talked to a guy and he uses roofing nails and an old bicycle tire cut to length. Looks like hell but works very well. We shall see :lol:

I have bicycle slicks for a mountain bike. I have some used up run flats I'd be willing to sell ya and some other tires. :mrgreen:

I recommend going by your local bike store and asking if they have any used tires they are throwing out that they wouldn't mind giving you. Most bike shops just want to get rid of used tires.

I gave up on this project and bought new tires and wheels -- dammit !!! :roll:
