Here's My Laser Blue
Here's My Laser Blue
Hey all,
After losing my last car (SAAB 92x Aero) to an accident, I started in search of a new vehicle and landed here with a 2007 Cooper S in Laser Blue.
It is fairly good condition overall, I need to get a new scoop, the chrome is peeling and wrinkling.
I have on order floor liners, boot liner and a short antenna.
Colin

Thanks,Laurie wrote:Welcome!
I have had it less than a week and I always have a smile on my face thinking about it or when I am driving it.
For now that is the only picture I have unfortunately but will be getting more soon.

Get used to the perma-grin on your face! These are very fun cars to own/drive.

If you don't have a heat shield on your turbo, Get one. That's what is causing the peeling on your scoop.customsnow wrote:Hey all,

Re: Here's My Laser Blue
You can also get a heat shield from NM tuning or just buy a carbon fiber hood scoop . I have bothcustomsnow wrote:Cool thanks for the tip.Minidave wrote:It's about the same money from Baron.....and if you go to the dealer you don't pay shipping.

I am going to black out the light rings front and back the grill surrounds and then get a new scoop and have it painted black, so I will have to get a shield sooner or later.MiniManiac wrote:You can also get a heat shield from NM tuning or just buy a carbon fiber hood scoop . Re: Here's My Laser Blue
Have you tried Plasti-Dip? I used it on my old wheels. I liked the look and am getting them the wheels powder-coated. The trim should be easy to plasti-dip. Just don't do it when it is raining or windy. Made that mistake. Thinking of making a cardboard enclosure I can hang onto the car to do the work. Or plasti-dip it in a garage if I can find one.

Did you buy stock in plasti-dip? I am telling you, that stuff does not hold-up to the elements.Zackattack28 wrote:Have you tried Plasti-Dip? I used it on my old wheels. It holds up well if you apply it correctly.MiniManiac wrote:Did you buy stock in plasti-dip?
