Classic Mini Fun Run #4, Nov 13-16, 2014 *Cancelled*

We're in the preliminary planning stages, but a date has been chosen, so mark your calendars and come along if you can!

November 13-16, 2014

Right now the plan is to meet in Eureka Springs and run the roads of northwestern Arkansas. I've been down many of these roads and like the area around Steelville, they're smooth, mostly traffic free and twisty and hilly and FUN to drive! Our host city is still open, also considering Eureka Springs among others.

The host hotel is the Best Western Eureka Springs - 800-814-8307, refer to the "Mini Fun Run" to get the group rate and reserve by Oct 13!

Right now we have:


Dimini - Mini P'up :chili:
MiniManiac - Mini cooper S :indi:
MiniDave - Clubman Estate :lyellow:
Bruce Kennedy - White Cooper :ps:
John Styers - Green Cooper S :brg:
Dave Patton - Blue Cooper :elec:
MiniX2 - White Cooper :ps:

Driving routes are now being planned, including one 'special" stage!

Update 9/24/2014
We've had one driver fall out due to work commitments and another due to a failed Mini, so we now have two spots available, so if anyone knows someone who'd like to go, let them know!

I doubt that I will be able to take off the entire week. I may be able to make a 4 day out of it, but that will be it.

Be sure to check the thread from time to time, we're only about 8 weeks away now.....

We have 9 cars committed at this time, if MinX2 goes we're full for this run!

Sorry for the delay, just got back in town and checked the calendar and last years calendar to make sure. Looks like I am good to go! Sounds like fun! I need to run Moxie a bit to make sure she is up to it, but I am looking forward to it! Thanks for including me!

I have a block of 10 rooms reserved at the same hotel the MINIs in the Ozarks group uses - the Best Western in Eureka Springs, and they gave us the same rate as they did for the larger group - $99 for a king bed - they also have rooms with 2 queen beds available too. You must make your reservation by Oct 13th in order to guarantee a room in this group and at this rate. When you call use "Mini Fun Run" as the group name...or refer to my name as the one who booked the group.

I finally booked my hotel room. Since we are bringing the Weaver Zoo, we went with the sweet. Everyone is stoked for this trip!!

Unfortunately the weather is looking terrible for Eureka Springs next weekend, calling for ice and snow - so the run has been cancelled for the fall.

I'm going to plan on getting to Mini 56 in April in North Carolina.
