I'm a snow plough
I must now plough on
I'm a snow plough
I'm a settler's son
I'm a storm cloud
Rain myself all over the place
I'm a storm cloud
Wipe that smile right off your face

There must be one place left in the world
Where the mountains meet the sea
There must be one place left in the world
Where the water's real and clean

I'm a landslide
I'm a downhill run
I'm a landslide
Open season's just begun

There must be one place left in the world
Where the skin says it can breathe
There's gotta be one place left in the world
It's a solitude of distance and relief
There's gotta be one place left in the world

:!: Good Luck.......

Ha!

You thought you'd be sneaky and put a non-single track on there. You can't fool me.

Antartica by Midnight Oil.

Of course Blue Sky Mine is among my favorite albums of all time. I'm *so* glad I managed to catch them in concert before they split up.

Actually, that is one of my all-time favorite songs. I questioned whether I should go with it or not, I thought someone would pick up on pretty quick. I glad you did, now I don't feel like the only Midnight Oil fan left in KC.

By the way I lost my Earth and Sun and Moon CD a while back, if anyone knows of good store that might carry it please post it. It has been a bugger to trackdown for some reason.

Your turn to choose........

Have you tried Need More Discs in Shawnee? www.needmorediscs.com or www.myspace.com/needmorediscs

While MiniGeoff is off contemplating his navel, here's a more recent one than I usually post!

And my heart had a problem, in the early hours,
So I stopped it dead for a beat or two

But I cut some cord, and I shouldn't have done that,
And it won't forgive me after all these years

Closed off from love
I didn't need the pain
Once or twice was enough
And it was all in vain
Time starts to pass
Before you know it you're frozen

This is probably easy, a clue this is my daughters favorite song...

WOW, no takers on this one, maybe I over-estimated you guys. Here is a clue then, the artist is female.

I had to Google it, I've never heard of this artist, must be too "young" for me!

It is the current #1 song in America on the American Top 40 charts.

Ok so here is another one for you guys.

Hollywood Hills, Pocket Full Of Shells,
Sunsets a Drag And I Haven't Even Slept All Day
Zone In, Somethings Gotta Give
Might As Well Live It Up Until The Fat Lady Sings

You Want, You Got It, Its Everything You Dream of..

Hint: This is a local band who has seen success...

WOW, I really thought someone would know this one.

Ok, so the answer is:

Famous by Puddle of Mudd

They are a local rock band who made it big with several top 10 hit songs. They have had 4 albums and the lead singer is Wes Scantlin who is friends with local radio morning show host Johnny Dare on 98.9 the Rock - KQRC.

You're just too musically in tune to current trends, I guess..............or we're not!

The latest music I know many artists from is the early 90's, after that I'm out. I do best with anything from the '50's to the '80's.........

But a lot of our members are into the current scene, so put up another one for us!

Ok, here is a great one.

We'd circle and we'd circle and we'd circle to stop and consider and
Centered on the pavement stacked up all the trucks jacked up...

No hints this time, you gotta get this one.

Ok, here is one hint, they are liberal and political in their music.

*****, do you remember when I mowed your lawn? Your mom came out with just a towel on
I could tell she liked me from the way she stared
And the way she said, "You missed a spot over there"

And I know that you think it's just a fantasy
But since your dad walked out, your mom could use a guy like me

Stacey's Mom, Fountains of Wayne...was that an intentional MTTS reference?

The song is correct. What MTTS reference are you referring to? I just like the song.

Fountains of Wayne appeared at MTTS in Boston. :)

To keep the MTTS bands going, here's another:

It's a state of affairs and a state of emotions
The kind of thing that you must understand
I tell you one thing; you tell me another
We walk away, maybe then shake hands
