Here is a copy of the article for reference:

The parking lot at Checkers Foods, 2300 La., will play host to a car show conducted by the Lawrence All British Car Club.

The show, featuring vintage British cars and newer Minis, is set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 8. Organizers say the show is open to “anyone who appreciates British engineering and its unique nuances.”

So the show is close to K-10? I think if I go that's the road I'm going to go on but I don't want to drive out alone. :?

We'll put you in the rocking chair.

That's meant as CB slang, not because of BB's age.

Take K-10 West from I-435 in Lenexa, go to the Woodland Exit (it's marked) and turn right. There is a new shopping center going up there and the Wendy's and gas station have already been there for a few years.

I almost bought/built a house out there last year on the other side of the highway.

 I sprung a leak. My dad and I fixed it and I'm hoping the clamps will hold the hose in place. The hose for oil pressure gauge had a leak so we got a new hose and it's smaller than the old one and the old clamps wouldn't work and caused the oil to come out again. Fixed it again with new clamps. I'm hoping those will work. I drove her around and didn't see any leaking.

Leak isn't fixed. It's not leaking as much as before but I can't tell where the leak is coming from.

If I break down on my way to the wendy's and I call Dave or Bernard will someone come help me out? My dad said he's not going to come help if she breaks again because he's tired of working on her.

What are you concerned about, the oil or water?

If it's leaking oil badly I would not try to drive it all the way to Lawrence!

Too much opportunity for a major failure on a trip that long...........

You need to order the Bentley manual I told you about months ago, if he's not gonna work on it either it's down to you to fix it or to find a shop you trust.........

I got the water leak fixed. The oil leak seems taken care of now. It's just dripping a little. I think the leak now is caused by oil that collected in a spot and it just drips out now.
The weather channel needs to quit changing the forecast for tomorrow. I've seen two different ones so far. One is saying just a thunderstorm starting around noon and then they were saying a strong thunderstorm with hail and wind... and now they're saying hail and wind again. I think I'm going to put up the Mini today and pass on the show. I don't want to get stuck in a strong thunderstorm in her.
BTW, I have the bentley manual and two haynes manuals.

Excellent! That should help you loads in the future..........I don't blame you for not wanting to take a chance on the weather.

Green. Or silver or black. Depends on the light. LOL. He's got 17" wheels and lowered 2.75 inches and tinted windows and an autobot emblem on the grill.

Here are a few pics, I was surprised at the quality of some of the cars, including some of the survivors - unmolested, unrestored original cars - like the TR-8...........

Sorry about how dark some of these pics are, I had my wife's new camera and I obviously have a lot to learn about how to use it - I just had it set on automatic, or at least I thought so...........

Dave-

The pics look great, I have some as well but I will need to get them developed first and put onto a disk.

Thanks to evryone who went up to the show, that was a lot of fun. Next time someone should scout out the area before hand, there was Dunkin Donuts! :!: :!: :!: mmmmmmmmmuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu, aaaarrrrruuuugggghhhhh donuts.....

That's a dangerous place for me, man do they have good stuff!!!
