This is the same drive-in that Greaserama takes place at I think (fun, FUN car show BTW).

Anyway, put me and my wife down for attending.

We will be driving from Lees Summit as well matti if you wanted to caravan or something.

We're gonna have a nice turnout. I'll find us a gathering point so we can meet up and caravan into the theatre............

What time does everyone want to show up?

The movie generally starts around 9ish this time of year.....and we'll want to get there early enough to get good spots........thoughts?

Dave, you might check and see if they will hold some dedicated slots for us. I have been told that sometimes they will do this when car clubs come in.

I think the plan is going to be that we all meet up somewhere near the drive-in and go in together as a group. I think since some others are further away they are going to drive over to the meeting spot together. That is my read on it at least, I could be wrong.

I don't think a place for meeting has been choosen yet has it? What time do they usually open the gates for entry?

OK, New Info!

The movies this weekend will be Wall-E and Journey to the Center of the Earth, both of which I wanted to see, so YAY!

The Drive-in owner recommends that we get there when the doors open if we want to group together in the first couple of rows, and that time is 7:30 pm. - which means we'll have a bit of time to kibbitz and munch before the movie starts at around 9 pm.

As to a meeting up place, I'm perusing the maps as we speak.......er, type. I'll find someplace nearby to gather...........

Edit: I'll drive down there this afternoon on my way home from work and scout out a place, I know there are a couple of grocery stores in the vicinity. If anyone has a suggestion, I'm all ears!

Wall-E

Plot synopsis:

What if mankind had to leave Earth, and somebody forgot to turn the last robot off? After hundreds of lonely years of doing what he was built for, WALL*E (short for Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-Class) discovers a new purpose in life (besides collecting knick-knacks) when he meets a sleek search robot named EVE. Well, count us in, too. 1 MINI and 2 humans, coming from the LS area. (perhaps we can meet up with the other LS people?)

We probably will only get to stay for the first movie (odds are the SO will have to work on Sunday, so the 5 am alarm comes really early). So, we're hoping the first movie is Wall*E!

The first movie will be Wall-E, so at least you'll get to see that one. I understand about the early rising, our plant starts work at 3:30 AM.........

There is an empty lot on the corner of 14th and Merriam lane, we can gather there and drive down to the drive-in about 2 blocks east of the lot. We should plan to be at the drive-in by 7:30 to get the best spots and all be able to group together........

There'll be plenty of time to kibbitz and nosh before the show starts then......

Bring:

Yourselves
Cash (they don't take anything else)
Lawn Chairs
blankies
insect repellant
glasses (if you need them)
Cooler and snacks (unless you like drive-in food

)

I think it will be one of the most fun nights we've had, and I'm really looking forward to the evening with all y'all!

I would plan on 40 min drive depending upon the final meet area.
