Isn't this Friday night the opening ceremony for the Olympics in China? I think I'm gonna want to watch that, however - we do usually go out for dinner on Friday nights and BBQ is right at the top of the list, so if we do go out how's about Jack Stack at 95th and Metcalf? Maybe an early dinner?

FYI...they have changed the time of the olympics opening ceremony from 7:00pm CST (our time) to 6:30pm.

how about jack stack at martin city, I think the food taste better there than the one on metcalf

I am expecting to pick up my MINI from Eveland Bros this Friday so I might show up

I prefer the one at 95th , since it's close to my house, at least for this Friday!

Any other Friday I'm good with any of them..........

What happened to your car that it's at Eveland Bros? Oh, and thank god you took it there, it will come back to you looking as if it was never touched - they are the best body shop in the city, IMHO.

Well, if we're going to try to get home in time to watch the Olympics, somewhere close to 5 pm then............that gives time to chat and we don't have to rush dinner. also, it won't be crowded then so we should get a table right away.

How many are coming?

Call me an idiot. I can't follow this thread. Somewhere, i thought we were doing a Friday 8/29 at Bryants/Legends. Are we now talking Friday 8/8?

Will somebody wake me up and let me know what this thread is about?

Anima pointed out that he would be hungry this Friday as well, so a few of us are going to meet at Jack Stack at 95th and Metcalf at 5pm this Friday for dinner. The reason for the early seating is so we can get home in time for the start of the Olympics at 6:30

All are welcome, but a few (lucky!) of us are in Colorado so they won't be............

I think we can make it. 2 persons, 1 Mini. JS on 95th (he is right - the food is best at the Martin City one.) But they all have the best baked beans in town!

I'm back at my parents house in McPherson....And that day is my birthday...so we are doing something here with the family. I might also might not be able to make the 29th...looks like work might get in the way, again. Thanks for the invite though, I'd love to go if I wasn't 2.5 hours away.

BTW, today's paper says the Olympic's telecast starts at 7, not 6:30 so anyone who can't make it at 5 but might want to come a little later is still welcome.
