Water Pump Pulley
Big Papi and Saturn were built at approximately the same time in late 2007. Saturn has had his water pump pulley go bad and had to have it replaced (under warranty). I am starting to have the same sound from Big Papi so he is scheduled for service on Friday I will know more then but it seems to be following the same pattern so it will probably neeed to be replaced. The car had just over 5,000 miles on it when the sound started about 3 weeks ago, other than that the car has been absolutely great. This may be a pattern if anyone else is getting this sound from the engine area that is noticeable when at idle please post your findings. The cars are less than a year old so this could be valuable information.
