KC Winter and my Mini

Post by cadfael_tex »

Hi all. I'm just moving to the area (from a warmer climate) up here at Fort Leavenworth. Need to see how to adjust my 05 MCSC to the winter's here (since it's snowed and iced in the week plus I've been here). Do I need to get a set of snow tires/wheels for the winters here? Any other tips?

You don't need snow tires, but you do need a good set of all season tires.

Have fun at Ft. Leavenworth! I was there in 06 for ILE.

Got a set of Falken's not long ago and so far so good. I've been impressed with hot it's handled so far on some pretty (for me) nasty looking winter wet stuff. There's quite a few Mini's driving around post. Next road over is a clubman and cabrio.
