Electrical Issues

Post by GreenSerenity »

On my '08 MCS Convertible, the strangest thing happens from time to time; the whole electrical system resets. I've seen it happen a couple of times while I was driving, very unnerving. Several months ago, I took it to Baron and they said it was because my battery (which is in the trunk) had loose connections, which they said they had fixed. Now I do carry a lot of crap in my trunk (cable guy) and I think the problem may be caused by the weight pressing down on top of the battery. Has anyone else experienced this and if so did you find a solution?

Don't carry so much crap in the trunk? :? :D

If they tightened the connections and it's still doing it, I don't think the problem is the "junk in your trunk", so to speak. I'd look for a loose or bad ground connection, either from the negative battery cable to the body, or from the engine ground cable.

Listen to Mr. Dave. The weirder the electrical problem, the sooner you should look for a bad ground. :)
