OK. We've been talking about a morning meet-up before the show, then arriving right when they open up at 10am.

There is a new Panera in the heart of Brookside (63rd & Brookside - one block east on 63rd). The parking situation there is typical Brookside -- nothing close, but a lot of parking around the edges.

I propose a meet-up from 8am-9:30am, then head up to the show at 9:30 and try to get a decent parking spot.

Thoughts?

I'll have to meet you all at the show, turns out we have an appointment to take the MINI-Poopers to the grrrrrrroomers that morning at 9 am in preparation for our Colorado trip a few days later, and I always get "volunteered", I'll be along just after I drop them off tho, let me know where you plan to park at the AotC show and I'll meet you there or at the entrance to the gallery.

Wondering if anyone else is meeting up? We are thinking about trying to make it up there. Did I read somewhere else that there was something else planned for later in the afternoon?

On another post I extended an invitation to join the Heart of America Z Car Club at Fred P. Otts on the Plaza. We'll be arriving there around 4 pm.

The invitation is still extended.

Argh so much stuff going on tomorrow. I want to hang out with someone from the MINI club though. :( I will try to meet you at the panera tomorrow morning but I doubt I'll do the car show because of the heat. Gotta clean my air filter and go down to Belton tomorrow too.

Here is a compilation of pictures via video. I stayed in the shade pretty much the entire day and drank a LOT of water. Arrived at 10 am and left at 4 pm.

Leann and I got there at 1:30 and stayed to see most of the show cars leave the grounds, nearly 5. Then to P Ott's, ate some tacos and hungout with the Zeds. A great day.

Thank you so much for posting your slide show, about 6:17 there's a quick distant shot of a red Dino coupe, I wonder if you have any close up shots of that car?

Is that the coupe with TWA plate holder? If so I followed it from the Plaza to 75th and Ward Parkway a few weeks back. Beauty of a car.

Those are not my photos. I "borrowed" them from another site. Dave, there were some BEAUTIFUL Jags there!

BTW the Dino was featured in a Tom Strongman article a few weeks ago in the KC Star. The owner bought it for his wife as a surprise.

The reason I asked is that I owned a red Dino coupe a number of years ago, it's a long story I won't bore anyone with, but I wondered if that was the same car? It was a pretty special and rare one.....I'll go check Tom's website for his story on it....
