Kansas City MINI Enthusiasts

This is the August cruise info.

We will be going to Queen Lizzy's Fish and Chip shop in Lawrence, KS on August 25th. The plan is to be there at 11:30am. Still working on meeting up some place in KC and driving out to Lawrence together.

They serve more than just fish and chips. Their chicken and chips are really good and their deserts are awesome.

We will be parking on the top level (or the middle one if there aren't enough spaces. It's 2 hours free parking. Top level is free all day) of the parking garage around the corner on New Hampshire.

There will probably be a cruise after lunch but I'm still working on the details. Figured I'd make a new thread so the information would be easier to find.

Oh for crying out loud...doesn't look like I can make this one either. Going on 4 months running where I've had a conflict. Well I'll keep waving at every Mini in hopes of getting a few of you.

I'll be there, should be a fun drive up! Let's do a caravan up there.....maybe on K-10 or K-32 out of Bonner Springs.

BTW folks, this is on a Saturday, not our usual Thursday meet up.

Most everyone should be off work, so that's no excuse!

Hey John, I know how you can attend one for sure - you pick the date and you host it!

Steffie, a cruise down to Clinton Lake could be fun, also very photogenic.....we could go up on K-32 then home on K-10.......just some thoughts.

I'm going to try out K-32 this weekend to see how it is (I always take K-10). Need to pick a place to meet up at. Since K-32 comes out around the legends area I was thinking someplace there.

Ok, for meeting up to head out to Lawrence, how about we meet at the parking lot for the T-Bones stadium at the Legends at 10:30am. We'll leave at 10:45am and hopefully be in Lawrence before 11:30. We'll take 24/40 highway out there. Should be interesting since I've never taken that route before. I will have my walkie talkie on during the drive if anyone else wants to bring one.... Question,how far beyond Lawrence is the Flint Hills Nat Park.Might be a nice trip for the scenery???-Frank

According to Google, it's an hour and a half drive from Lawrence... It looks like it would be a pretty nice drive but I don't know how many people would want to do an all day event....

We would like to join you this Saturday. Have you decided where to meet up?

My Walkie has a 20 mile radius so what station will you be on Steph? I'll scout out parking for us for when you guys get here.

Man! I wish we could have made this one! I guess the timing was just a little too quick (us just joining and all).

I'll be providing a sight seeing tour through the campus and then there is a road south of town that has some twisties on it if there is time after lunch.

I had fun at the meet. Sorry I drove so slow!! I really thought the speed limit was 55 And my tires aren't good in rain.
