Hosting: James Flowers (Spart).

Just a drive through the countryside - from nowhere to nowhere, but with lots of curves in between. We'll do a "fast" group for the more spirited drivers and a "slow" group for those that just want to relax and enjoy the area.

Preliminary plan is to have a short meeting on the town square in Bethany, MO to distribute maps and info, then a jaunt over to the Sonic in town for a quick lunch (make it light - hills aren't good for the stomach!) and then we'll line up in the Wal-Mart parking lot and drive at noon.

Stops will probably include Leon, IA and Lamoni, IA. Not sure where we'll finish yet!

Let's meet up at the Chick-fil-A in Liberty, just off of I-35. Meet as early as you like, hang around, get some breakfast and coffee, visit with other MINIacs. Let's plan to depart about 9am to head north.

We had a fantastic run on this tour last year, it was a ton o fun!

I've been waiting for the date to be posted, and somehow they managed to hit the one weekend I'll be out of town!

Should be a blast on the new F1 track too!

I hate to miss this run, it was so much fun last year!

This was a fun drive. Looks like we might be able to join again this year.

Happy to help with planning the KC to Bethany route again, or someone else can take the lead. Any scenic alternate routes to Bethany?

A bunch of us had lunch at the Toot Toot Restaurant last year and it was great......

The Toot Toot had a buffet -- it was really good, and really fast.

Don't know yet if I can make it. My son's high school grad may take precedence.

Anybody looking for a more scenic (or less boring) route to Bethany, just hop on Highway 69!

This is coming up soon, I'm pretty excited. I have a GoPro this time around and I'm trying to decide what to do with it... I'm thinking mount it to the roof facing rearward and do a time lapse.

If you're looking for a less boring commute to Bethany and you have some extra time in the morning, take exit 26 on I-35 for Kearney & Excelsior Springs. Turn right (east) on 92, which will meet Highway 69 just north of Excelsior Springs. Turn left (North) on Highway 69 and stay on 69 all the way to Bethany. It's more scenic and there are actual curves, but it is slower because you drive through quite a few towns. You might be able to make some of that time up if you're having fun on the rural stretches, though (I usually do.)

There are two places on this route where 69 makes a right angle turn, so you might want to look up the route in advance.

Come on guys and gals. We really had a great time on the run last year. A good time for the newbies to meet the club from up north. Saturdays weather is going to be fantastic.

I hope it's not too late to RSVP. I'll meet the KC group at CFA at 9.

If you find yourself a bit late or haven't RSVP'd don't worry. We'll be meeting on the town square in Bethany around 11AM, then we'll be lining up on the east end of the Wal-Mart parking lot around noon. In between we'll be lunching at Sonic or Toot-Toot, probably. All of these locations except the town square are west of the I-35 exit for Bethany (exit 92) on Highway 136. The town square is 100 N 16th St.
