A stolen MINI

We sent out a mass email about our missing truck, and received the following as a reply. I figured since we all check out every MINI we see, might have a good chance of spotting this one. This is all the detail I have:

Add our house to the list. My wife's Black 2005 Convertible Mini Cooper was stolen from our garage Wednesday night. Her purse was in it and the credit cards were used in grandview at 4am. If you know anyone who lives in the south kc area, please keep an eye out. It has Johnson County tags on it and the license plate begins with QIH. It is straight black with chrome trim. Most likely someone will dump it somewhere. Let me know if you see it.

You can PM me if you spot it.

Thanks all!

I thought Mini's were next to impossible to hot wire and steal.

I've heard similar that MINIs are not often stolen. Nothing to verify it, but remember hearing or reading it somewhere.

Probably not often stolen because they are not exactly inconspicuous. Not the kind of car a criminal would want to steal if they didn't want to be noticed.

Any many of them are manual transmission -- the ultimate theft deterrent!

So this kind of case really does happen. Always be wary no matter what the situation is.
