Kansas City MINI Enthusiasts

Wanting to know who will be attending. I'm coordinating with Brit's to block off parking out front. Lunch will be somewhere downtown.
Meet at Nebraska Furniture Mart Parking lot. We will cruise up state avenue 24-40 to Lawrence. Since it is a lunchtime thing, meet at 10:00 am on Saturday September 28.

ITINERARY:
Meet at Nebraska Furniture Mart parking lot at 10:00 AM Saturday September 28. To allow time for everyone to show up, we will wait till 10:30 before departure to Lawrence, KS. Exit parking lot and do our best to group up as we head onto State Avenue.
Take State Avenue/24-40, through Basehor and through Tonganoxie into Lawrence. At the Teepee Junction, turn left and continue down road crossing bridge into Lawrence.
Turn left onto 6th and then right on to Massachusetts Street. Assuming I am able to get the parking out front of Brit's blocked, we should have at least 10 spots in front of Brit's. The first 10 cars to get to this location, pull in and park. I'm not sure if Brit's is planning anything for us while we are there but 10 British cars would definitely be noticed on Mass Street so it should be fun. (There should be two parking meters we can tie the banner between)
Socialize as long as we would like. Lunch will be (ANY SUGGESTIONS) and I will call them ahead of time with the number of people to expect.

After lunch, you can disperse and go home, stick around town and shop, or go on a cruise through Lawrence, up onto Campus and maybe out to Clinton Lake. Some good photographic opportunities for the Club.

First ten cars on the list will get the only parking spaces we can get out front. The rest can park around back or elsewhere on street if parking is available.

Hello!

I am a new MINI owner and would love to join the Cruise to Lawrence.

I recently purchased an '05 MC. I didn't set out to buy Georgie, but when I saw him I just smiled and now he is mine!

I will have to admit that after many decades of driving, this is my very first manual transmission - so I bought the car and couldn't drive it!! I have pretty much gotten the hang of it and am enjoying every minute of driving (now that I don't fear stalling at every stop and hill!)

I am going to try very hard to make this event. Full time job and full time college has had me strung out, but I need to see me some Miniacs. Put me down as a most likely will attend

UPDATE:

Brit's put in the request for the 10 parking spaces in front of their store. Barring any issue with the city of Lawrence, we will be having at least 10 of us parked out front. Be warned there is a parade that morning and we will be arriving into town shortly after that parade ends so we shouldn't have any major issues. Sally at Brit's is going to post the information of the Cruise-in on her facebook page for the store and also link it with KCME and their facebook. She is also going to send the word to the Lawrence All British Car Club to see if they may want to come down and hang out and chat as well. So far, all going as planned.

Those are not training wheels. They are a walker ( with tennis balls on the back legs ).

We have two kid's sporting events that day so we may be out. I will let you know.

Wish I could but I have to be in a Wedding that day.
